Easy mornings with Stonyfield Organic Yobaby Yogurts
To be completely honest, I have always struggled with breakfast time for Laken. Coming from someone who never eats breakfast (I know, shame on me) I have a harder time than most because nothing sounds appealing! When Laken started eating table food a lot of the time I would give her strawberries and dry cereal because it was quick and easy. I’m very set in my ways when it comes to what I buy during grocery hauls so you bet that I would look over some of the best brands! It wasn’t until I saw one of my favorite bloggers posting about Stonyfield that had me intrigued. At this point, Laken had just hit a 14 months and had started to become super picky with what she ate. She would love one thing for a week, so I’d go out and buy it in bulk only for her to take a bite the next day and literally say “ew gross” and chuck whatever it was she was eating on the floor or secretly give it to the dog. Some days for breakfast or for snack time I’d lose all hope trying to get her something and end up letting her stand on the counter and pick whatever out of the cabinet. I kept telling myself that as long as she was eating something she was fine. The mom guilt totally hits me now when I think of the days I let her eat a whole box of crackers. I was so desperate to find something Laken loved and I approved of!
After seeing my favorite bloggers post I went straight to Stonyfield Organic’s website and read all about their Yobaby yogurts. I kid you not, I did a zip code search at what stores around me sold those yogurts and was in the car heading to Target 5 minutes later. You know those things that every momma wishes she knew about earlier in their babe’s life? Well, this was my thing.
Fast forward three months later, we can’t live without it. I say we because if it weren’t for Laken being absolutely obsessed with YoBaby yogurt I may lose my sanity in the mornings or at snack time trying to think of something that’s healthy and what Laken won’t throw a fit over. Since I never really paid attention to ingredients when it came to food until Laken was of age to actually eat solids, I now find myself doing a triple take on the ingredients, the nutritional percentages, and what it nutritionally has to offer (vitamin A..etc.).
One of my favorite things about their packaging is that each pack comes with two flavors. I love that I’m able to mix it up every other day. With someone as picky as Laken it sure makes a big difference. Some really cool facts that instantly sold me on Stonyfield Organic YoBaby Yogurt are:
- The yogurt has BB-12 probiotic which helps digestive health for a happy healthy tummy!
- YoBaby Yogurt is the #1 pediatrician recommended yogurt for babies from 6 months to 24 months and kids.
- YoBaby yogurt has no added sweeteners, made without artificial flavors, no preservatives, and are non GMO.
- The cups are made of PLA cups…which are plants!!! (I never once thought of what the packaging might be made of and this is SO COOL!!!)
I have always been told that healthy habits start young and I’m hoping that being a little more health conscious now will help Laken later down the road, even if it is just a yummy, healthy yogurt here or there. It’s companies like Stonyfield Organic that make mommin’ a little easier. I’m already looking forward to starting our next little one on Yobaby yogurt when s/he hits 6 months.
