Winter accessory favorites
‘Tis the season for Hallmark movies, hot coco, and all things warm and fuzzy!!!
I take winter accessories very seriously! I love that my favorite finds are budget friendly, which also makes incredible gifts for family and friends, but they are also all really good quality! Living in Kansas, our winter could start in October and end in March. It’s different every year but since we have already have had a few good days of snow, it’s the perfect time to really get into this post! High knee socks, leg warmers, gloves, beanies, scarves, fuzzy socks….you name it, it will be on here! And the best part is that everything in this post is under $60!!!!!
my favorite fuzzy socks
My all time favorite sock brand is Cozy Cabin Crew Socks and the only place I’ve been able to find them is at Dicks Sporting Goods. They have a BOGO Free sale every single year which has the socks being about $6.50 a pair. These socks are my favorite because they are made of Aloe-infused materials that help to keep our feet comfortable and warm. They are the perfect amount of thickness which makes them perfect for boots. Cozy Cabin Crew Socks come in men and women sizes and this year, I actually ended up liking the mens patterns more. They are perfect and don’t slide off. The only negative thing I would have to say about the socks are a one size fits all and it only fits sizes 5-10. That goes for both men and women.
Below I have a few of my favorites! This BOGO Free sale won’t last long so I recommend taking advantage of it while you can! Online they also have about 30+ other patterns! I wasn’t able to find my reindeer pattern that I have pictures above online, but it is available in store!
over the knee socks
I know a lot of people who consider over the knee socks more of a fall item but I have to say I love them more in the winter! I love layering high knee socks over tights and wearing them with longer dresses! I’m also a huge fan of wearing OTK socks at home with oversized sweatshirts when I don’t want to put on pants. The ones I’m wearing in the photo are from Urban Outfitters years ago and unfortunately aren’t available anymore and I recently found a few holes in them, so I’ll be scooping up some of these that I list below to replenish my stock! All of the Urban Outfitter socks usually run a sale of buy two for ____ and it ends up being a pretty good price. The UGG OTK socks are on the more pricey side but they are worth it. If you are someone who lives in OTK socks during the winter you will be obsessed with them. I have a few UGG items(other than boots) and have had them all well over five years. The quality is amazing.

leg warmers
Of course with boot season comes leg warmers. These really aren’t as popular as what they used to be and I had a pretty big collection when they were first big. I don’t have any fancy links to share for leg warmers, but can honestly say that TJMaxx always has the best leg warmers!! They’re usually all $15 and under which makes them super affordable and they are constantly getting new styles in every week. I usually only get the cable knit pattern ones when they have them because they’re the warmest of them all but they are all still really good quality!
scarves
I am so excited to share my favorite scarves because ASOS wins the award for having the best blanket scarves ever!!! These scarves are perfect for the super cold months because they are literal blankets. They are huge! I actually use a few that I have as blankets to sit on when Laken and I decide to go to the park or want to have a little picnic in our front yard during the warmer months. The best part of all is that these scarves are all under $35 which makes them crazy affordable for the size. I have never seen ASOS restock the scarves once they’re sold out and each year new patterns come out so if there is one you are eyeing, scoop it up!
knit beanies
I swear these were not cool to wear until recently haha. I have always loved knit beanies with the little poms on top but was always afraid to wear one because they weren’t ‘cool’. Honestly, who knows if that really was a thing but I love that everyone is wearing them again. I’ve been able to find knit beanies at almost any store that sells winter wear and every store hits each price point. My favorite knit beanies are the ones that are fleece lined making them extra warm and I think it helps the beanie stay on a little better.

gloves
I have worn the same pair of gloves for years. I’m not going to say how long because that will sound gross haha but they are the warmest gloves ever!!! They were for sure a little bit of a splurge but I truly can’t complain with how much use I’ve gotten out of them. Over the years I’ve tried to use the gloves that you can use your phone with but have never had any luck with them. I’ve stayed pretty loyal to the gloves I’ve had and they no longer make them, so I will link some super similar ones and will also link some other ones that I see a lot of people wear.
