Why I decided to blog

Here I am, 22 years young, getting married to the man of my dreams in 50 short days, & raising the most beautiful one year old little girl & our two year old fur baby. I work three days a week doing what I absolutely love and I’m starting to blog!!! If you personally know me you’d be like “….what on earth is she doing…”. Well, I could totally see me blogging being a total fail, but on the other hand what do I have to lose??

Q:What made me consider blogging?

A: I have always been obsessed with pictures. Like unhealthily obsessed. If you ask Kyler he will tell you that the only reason I look forward to the next day is for more pictures. I’d say he’s 40% correct because he refuses to help me take pictures 60% of the time. Before Laken, my only subjects were Kyler & our golden retriever, Gracie. Before Gracie I didn’t have a nice camera & I only had my phone. Would you believe me if I said the only reason I bought a nice camera was because I had just gotten a puppy & I wanted to take pictures of her?? YOU BEST BELIEVE IT!!! So, to get back on track.. I think a big part of me always wanting to be there with a camera is to forever have that memory. Watching Laken grow over the past year has really made my realize how quickly time truly does go by & I want to be able to share those memories that I hold with family & friends. I had been contemplating for months what I should do with these pictures. I know that sounds so silly now that I think about it, but it mattered to me! I’m not really into politics or the nonsense fights with someone over an irrelevant video, so turning to Facebook to make all my posts was crossed off my list super quick. I love Instagram because there is so little drama but I didn’t want to over-do it by posting a million pictures a day & a novel under each photo…then came the idea of blogging!

Q: So let’s get to the point…WHY BLOGGING?

A: To start off, I’m a brand ambassador for Beauty Brands & our little lady is a brand rep for a few baby boutiques all via Instagram. I love being on social media so that’s never been a concern of mine. I have always been super infatuated by bloggers & social media influencers. I love looking at all the pictures & reading about people lives. It’s like watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians but realistically being able to afford the lifestyle & vacations..haha. I figured if all these women that I love reading about started from nothing to building these friendships with others around the world, then why couldn’t I? Of course now you can get paid for blogging by affiliations with companies & being sent products to review, & although that would be an incredible perk, I’m mainly doing it for me 🙂 …& being able to show off my hunky man & darling little lady.

Q: How often will you be blogging?

A: I haven’t made it big by any means on this blog but I have been getting asked when I’ll be posting & what about. I’ll be posting whenever I have time. I know that’s not very promising right now but I’m still trying to figure out everything. I don’t even have my blog fully set up to my liking & time will only help me get better at all this stuff. I am also finalizing wedding stuff (OMG IT’S ONLY 50 DAYS AWAY) & that’s been taking up a lot more time than I would like it to. My fiancé & I are on completely different work schedules & have to both be present for everything..blehh. As far as what I’ll be talking about..I’m not 100% sure either haha. I want to get on a Monday – Wednesday – Friday schedule & have solid posts, but until then I’ll just be posting as I go. I give major props to all the momma bloggers with 2+ kiddos & blogging full-time! It’s a lot of work!!!!
