What’s in my hospital bag.
Baby girl could be here any freaking day. One minute I’m super excited and the next I’m freaking out. At least I’m packed for when that time comes haha. Last week I made a post all about our diaper bag for baby girl, what we’re packing in it, and why we decided on getting a daddy diaper bag. To check out that blog post you can click here. Today’s post is alll about what I’m packing for me! I feel like everyones idea of what’s needed in the hospital is different and that is totally okay. I remember not thinking I’d have enough time to relax or put myself together and I think it’s important that this time around I focus on me a little more. After all, I did just push a baby out of me….it’s the least I could do for myself.
Last time around I was stuck in the hospital for three nights and was super fortunate to get the bed that repositioned itself every 30 minutes. I honestly think the floors would’ve been more comfortable than that bed haha. I spent so much time awake thinking about what all I could do with myself and realized that I had nothing packed other than the niminmum. I would much rather be over packed and prepared than sit there again waiting for something exciting to happen.
In the blog post talking about our what we packed in our diaper bag I briefly talked about how I figured out what to pack with Laken when I went to the hospital. I did a lot of Pinterest searching. I think I searched “Hospital Bag Check List” and had some amazing results. Again, each one is a little different but the one I used (and I wish I could find it) even had a birthing plan that we turned into our doctor. Our doctor required us to give her one so that was very beneficial to us not having to make up our own. Youtube videos of What’s in my Hospital Bag are super helpful too!
