Since this is my first time ever using the Owlet Smart Sock and Baby Cam I’ll be doing a follow-up blog post a few weeks into baby girl being here (it’ll be up mid July) for my full honest review over the Owlet!

Here is everything that comes with Owlet Smart Sock! You have the base station that plugs into the wall and also changes the smart sock sensor. You also have three smart sock sizes to accommodate your growing babe (0-18).

Just from messing with the sock and putting it on Laken’s baby dolls it seems very easy and super comfortable. The fabric is very soft and fits very snug around the foot.

Here is the Owlet Cam. This is by far the coolest camera I have ever seen! It has night vision, two-way audio, a 130deg wide lens, and a room temperature sensor! My favorite part is that it’s magnetic so you can seriously place it at any angle and get a full shot!

Why am I so excited for the Owlet Baby Sock + Cam

As a new parent or a new parent to multiples you want what’s best for your baby. Me being me, I always think the worst thing is going to happen and I can’t even begin to tell you how much ease having the Owlet Smart Sock will be for me and Kyler once baby girl is here.

The Owlet was the one baby product that I always wanted before having babies. Unfortunately, I never had one with Laken and if I could rewind time and get one, I totally would. In her early days and weeks I was most terrified that she would stop breathing. I was terrified that she’d wake up and make a noise and I would somehow miss it! I didn’t want to miss a cough or a sneeze or a yawn or anything. It’s the tiny silly things that I would be fine with missing over time, but I wouldn’t be okay if I missed something happening that I could have prevented.

Most people don’t know this but I was born with a heart murmur and Kyler had seizures when he was younger. My heart murmur went away over time but Kyler’s seizures started happening out of nowhere. Although we knew that the chance of Laken having seizures was very slim it still kept us up at night. We talked all the time about what would happen if she had one in her sleep. It’s scary to have to prepare yourself for something like that and with our newest babe on the way I don’t want either of us to ever worry about that again.

I would say that the thing Kyler and I are most excited about with the Owlet is that we can see everything on our phone through the Owlet app. As much as I wish we were home 24/7, we do work and have a babysitter. I know Kyler always wants to know what’s going on when he’s at work and I love that he can have a piece of mind all day while I have one all night.
