Ways to make tea drinking fun with Total Tea
Now that we’re back from Jamaica and I finally have a grip on life again, I’m working on getting back into my daily routine of healthy eating and exercising. Something that has always helped me stay on track is drinking tea. I grew up watching my mom drink a cup of chai tea every morning and it definitely rubbed off on me because I am now a huge tea drinker! Something really cool that I didn’t know is that drinking tea is super therapeutic. No wonder that after a while of being in a routine of drinking it that I feel like my whole day is thrown off when I don’t. I try to drink a cup every morning but it usually ends up left on the Keurig or in the microwave the rest of the day. My current favorites are from Total Tea and I am loving every single one of their flavors!
I unintentionally decide the flavor of tea I’m going to drink based on the season. Right now I’m obsessed with anything citrus flavored and anything really refreshing. The ones I’ve been drinking are the Pure Cleanse Detox Tea – Light Citrus Flavor with Cinnamon and the Pure Organic White Tea. Depending on how my day is going, I’ll have a cup between breakfast and lunch, or lunch & dinner. This Kansas heat has taken a tole on me and I’m getting more creative with my teas every day!
antioxidant white tea with fruit infused ice
This was the easiest to make! It did take some prepping, but the end result was so delicious and refreshing. I’m using the Pure Organic White Tea here. White tea is amazing for your skin and over all health. This white tea from Total Tea is the maximum antioxidant with 40mg. To make this drink fun, I stuck with the whole antioxidant theme. The cubes themselves are made from the white tea and have raspberries and blueberries in them. I let the tea cool down and squeezed a lemon in it, put the cubes in and finished the cup off with a lemon on the rim. I chose to stick with using the tea as the cube base because it takes me a good half-day to drink anything and I have watered down anything.
citrus tea with a splash of cherry
I truly don’t think there is a drink that cherry grenadine can’t fix! All my favorite alcoholic drinks have cherry grenadine in it, so I decided to add it to my tea. First off, it is very important that you choose a base that will mix well. Chamomile and cherry grenadine isn’t the worst combo but it certainly isn’t the best! Haha. I use the Pure Cleanse Detox Tea – Light Citrus Flavor with Cinnamon and the Pure Organic Peppermint Tea and both have turned out super yummy. The cherry grenadine adds the perfect amount of sweetness and flavor in the drink!
I want to talk a little about this rest of the teas from Total Tea starting with their Gentle Detox Tea. I’ve had terrible luck with detox teas in the past and have cleared away from most of the. I started using their Gentle Detox Tea every other day and have had zero stomach aches/pains since drinking it. Aside from their detox tea, they have 7 other flavors. I’ve noticed a lot of teas don’t go into detail on how much caffeine is in it or the amount of antioxidants. On the side of every box is a caffeine index from 0mg to 40+mg. Pure Boost Energy and Pure Organic Black Tea have the most with 40+mg while Pure Organic Chamomile and Pure Organic Peppermint are the lowest with 0mg. Each box of tea is really affordable ranging in price from $8-$13, and the detox on its own being $18.
You can find all the teas here!
