The rundown on my fav shadow palette
I feel like a broken record at this point talking about this eyeshadow palette, but it really is that good. I think I’ve been using the Tartelette In Bloom for a few years..or at least since it hit the shelves. Which says a lot because I normally wait a little bit and watch reviews from all my favorite makeup gurus on Youtube before purchasing. It’s a neutral and a matte eye lovers dream.
I’m sharing everything I can about this palette because if I had to live off of one shadow palette for the rest of my life it would be this one. The colors are super versatile allowing for different looks, and they compliment all eye colors. I have a 10 minute IGTV Video of me showing I get that super smokey eye over on my Instagram.
This palette retails for $39 and occasionally goes on sale. There are 12 shadows with nine of them being matte, and three being microshimmer shades. Two colors could be considered transition shades and three of the shades are perfect for a super deep smokey look. I will say the microshimmer shades are some of my favorites. Tarte has nailed the formula on them because they are so dang subtle and don’t flake off throughout the day.
My go-to colors:
Transition – mixing charmer and flower child
for build – smarty pants
for depth – jetsetter
for smokey – activist or smokeshow
The matte shadows are heavily pigmented and don’t create fallout. I’m that person that applies shadow after my foundation and I have yet to have any issues with there being fallout. The darker the shade the heaver the pigment so when getting into the super deep shades I do have to be lighter handed but I consider that a good thing. I want shadows that a rich in color.
This isn’t really a need to know kinda thing put I didn’t realize this until I read more about the product on Sephora’s site, but it’s formulate without mineral oil, gluten and triclosan. Triclosan is a categorized as a pesticide by the EPA and as a drug by the FDA. Just one little thing you don’t want in your makeup.
I love you all for the continuous support so I want to give one of these palettes along with my current mascara duo to one of you!
