Testing out Tula

I have been seeing Tula Skincare everywhere. You know, those pretty blue bottles that literally every single blogger is raving about. Well…Tula was kind enough to send me their facial cleanser and their new sugar scrub and I can’t wait to share with you all what I think.

I just have to say that every single blogger that I follow that talks about Tula says the same thing. “This is by far the best skincare line I have ever used!” or “This is my absolute favorite product ever!”. After hearing it so much you really wonder if they actually do like it or if they’re just saying it. I have very acne prone skin and have been using a cleanser with salicylic acid(acne fighter) in it for years. I have tried switching cleansers in the past and broke out like crazy so you could imagine what I was expecting to happen here.

For the last two weeks I have been using their Purifying Cleanser and their new So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Scrub. I can’t give a full honest opinion about their entire skincare line, but I can go pretty in-depth with these.

the cleanser

I was honestly shocked after using their Purifying Cleanser because I didn’t break out. Tula is known to work on many skin types with their clean products packed with probiotics + superfoods and I would have to say that they’re spot on. I was so positive I was going to break out and I didn’t. This cleanser is by far one of the most gentle cleansers I have ever used. The cleanser comes out thick but lathers up well and truly removes all the makeup and yuck on my face. There is little to no scent but I would say if anything it smells very fresh. It’s also only $28 which\ is very affordable for a higher end cleanser.

the exfoliator

The newest item to be added to Tula’s skincare line is the So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Scrub and I absolutely love it. It’s been a while since I’ve used a good exfoliator. There’s papaya and pineapple in the exfoliator and it smells like a freaking beach vacation. The papaya and pineapple have natural enzymes that chemically exfoliate the skin which I think is pretty cool. This is also awesome for most skin types but if you are unsure you can take their skin quiz to see what’s suitable for you. This one is $32 and I would say is worth every penny!
