Spring makeup look + my maternity robe for baby girl
So….I got a new foundation and wanted to share my first impression with you all! As much as I would love for Kyler to be like “OMG, girl! Your skin looks so airbrushed! Is that a new foundation?!“…he won’t. So, I am ecstatic when I get to share something like this with you all! I went to my Instagram stories and decided to do a whole spring makeup look with it (you can find it here in my highlights “makeup update”). For a Spring look, I really didn’t change anything up other than the foundation but it’s always fun sharing products and doing a tutorial anyway 🙂
The foundation that I tested out was the NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation in the shade Mont Blanc. I am sooo obsessed. For the first time ever I contemplated throwing away all my other foundations because I am so happy with this one. My skin is very acne prone and I have a little bit of combination. I’m dry through my cheeks and nose but very oily on my forehead and on my jawline. This foundation is the perfect amount of dewy that looks good even on its own! The foundation retails for $49.00 and is truly worth it! The coverage is medium to full and is very buildable.
The rest of what I used in my makeup routine is posted down below in order of application with the brush used right after!
Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Magic Cream $100 – I’m not a huge fan of face primers, so instead I use a moisturizer. This is absolutely a splurge.
Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation $49 – I’m in the shade Mont Blanc. I recommend getting color matched! Nars has three lines of foundations and getting color matching correctly could put you in an entirely different foundation line.
Beauty Blender $20 – This is the sponge I use to apply my foundation, concealer, and use to bake. There are plenty of dupes out there but I do always find myself coming back to the actual blender!
BareMinerals BareSkin Serum Concealer $22 – I use shade fair. I can honestly say this isn’t my favorite concealer and at the moment I’m using it just to use it up! I don’t feel like it gives as much coverage as I want and has to be set with a powder otherwise it’ll start to crack under the eyes.
Milk Makeup Setting Powder $29– I use shade Translucent Light. This is one of my favorite setting powders. I use it to set my face with a big powder brush and I also use it to bake under my eyes. It doesn’t oxidize like some setting powders do and feels very comfortable on the skin.
Benefit Preciesy, My Brow Pencil $24 – I use the shade warm light brown. I go back and forth between this pencils and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. Both pencils are very similar but I do feel like I have more control with the Benefit pencil. I also suck at brows so maybe don’t take my word on this haha.
Benefit 24-hour Brow Setter Gel $24 – I personally think this is a super crucial if you want your brows to stay all day. Even on days I don’t do makeup I’ll put on my eyebrow gel. Elf has an awesome gel that is called Clear Brow and Lash Mascara and it’s only $2! I used that gel for years before finding this one.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow Face Sculpt & highlights $68 – I’m using the shade fair-medium. I’ve only found a few bronzers that I think are worth the purchase and this is one of them for sure. It’s totally buildable which is key in a bronzer. You don’t want something that is super pigmented to where you have to spend forever blending out.
Tarte Clay Play Volume ll Palette $45 – I have gotten so many friends hooked on this palette! When I travel and want to pack light, this is my go-to. It has so many shadow shades and contains a blush, bronzer, and highlight. In the tutorial I use shades Solstice, Journey, and Dunes.
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek To Chic Blush $40 – I’m using the shade First Love! I love this blush. Again, it’s very buildable so I love being able to choose how bright I want the color to be. Some days I love bright blush and others I want barely anything.
MAC Soft and Gentle Highlighter $34 – I have used this highlighter since high school! I am not a heavy highlight user so these last for me. I have gone through maybe three over the past 6 years. I only put this on the top of my cheek bones, on my brow bone, and a little on my cupids bow on my lip.
Bare Minerals Lash Domination Ink Liner $19 – I love a good liquid eyeliner. I have so many favorite liquid liners. This one is an intense black and stays put all day (even through morning sickness and watching sad episodes of Ellen).
Smashbox Superfan Mascara $19 – I hate to even sound a little negative, but this is the only product from the entire Smashbox line that I love. I have tried SO many of their lipsticks, primers, foundations, shadows, and have had no luck, but this for some reason has won me over. The brush is rubber with a tapered tip which allows for extra lift and extreme coverage!
Mac Prep + Prime Finishing Spray $26 – This is another product that I have used since high school. It sets your face and keeps your makeup put all day! I personally just really love the smell and the hydration that come with it haha.

My maternity robe that I’ll be wearing for baby girl’s arrival!
Isn’t it the cutest robe ever?! With Laken I didn’t know it was a thing to wear a cute robe in the hospital. I am making sure I’m well prepared for this little lady. I’m also super picky with prints and loved how subtle this one was. Of course I have a little swaddle picked out for baby girl that matches for when she arrives and we can take photos, but mostly, I just want something that’s nursing accessible and I’ll be comfy in. This robe is from PinkBlush Maternity and I’m wearing the Mint Tropical Floral Print Delivery/Maternity Robe (size small).
Here are some other super pretty delivery/maternity robes. Best part is that you can totally use them post baby to lounge around in because they’re so comfortable.
Thank you to PinkBlush Maternity for gifting me this robe. This post also contains affiliate links.
