Something White Bridal Boutique wedding dress try-on
Never did I ever think that I would be able to try on wedding dresses for fun!!!! I had the absolute time of my life getting to play dress up at Something White Bridal Boutique and I cannot wait to share photos of the beautiful dresses I tried on and to talk all about the designers with you all! If you are freshly engaged and are in the beginning stages of wedding dress shopping, I highly recommend stopping my Something White Bridal Boutique located in Downtown Kansas City! My entire time there I kept saying how I wish I knew more about their boutique when I was shopping for my dress a year ago because of how sweet the girls were and their selection.
For all the Kansas City Locals:
Something White Bridal is located in the Crossroads district of downtown Kansas City and you can find out more about the location here.
You can also follow their Instagram here to see all the newest arrivals and what they’re up to!
Paige is the owner of the Something White Bridal Boutique and she is by far one of the sweetest girls I have ever met. I asked her a ton of question about the dresses because everything they have is out available for try on. I loved this the most because a lot of bridal stores keep the dresses in the back. Paige said she hand picks all the dresses herself (she has THE BEST taste in wedding dresses) and will travel twice a year to pick out designs. Not only is everything gorgeous but she totally went above and beyond keeping so many different needs in mind – from budget to style. There are dresses that are entirely customizable (so excited to show you in the pictures below) and never did I ever think that if I were wanting to customize a dress that I would also be able to afford it.
When first coming to Something White, I didn’t know what exactly to expect because some bridal stores show everything, while others keep everything hidden. Holy cow, this place is beautiful! I seriously kept telling the girls how gorgeous it was! Below are some beautiful photos of the boutique. I don’t have nearly as many photos as I would like because I was so obsessed with the dresses haha.
Above I talk about how the dresses were affordable for even being customizable and I mean it. The dresses in the store range from $1,200 – $3,500 which means you won’t fall in love with one before seeing the price tag to only find out it’s $12,000! Everything in the boutique is very reasonable and you can actually click here to see the dress designers they carry and what to expect with pricing! I was able to pick out a few dresses to try on while the Paige had a few in mind as well. I made sure that I picked dresses that weren’t what I would normally pick and I can honestly say there wasn’t a single dress that I was unhappy with. I did find that I was very fond of a certain designer and you may see a few from their line lol! I hope you all don’t mind a photo overload here on out! I have so many to share and no detail deserves to be left out 🙂
This first dress I’m trying on is the Lennox dress by Blue By Enzoani. I never would have ever thought I’d fall in love with this style of dress and oh my goodness I felt beautiful in it. The detailing is my favorite part of the dress besides how comfortable it is. This dress is also one that can be customized to where the front doesn’t have to be shear and can be solid!
This next dress is the one I wanted to take home with me. Oh my gosh…THE DETAIL IS STUNNING!!!! We all decided that if I ever get an award or have to go to some super fancy gala that I would coming to SWBB for my gown and I’m totally picking this one haha! This dress is the Alexis by Casasblanca Bridal. The detail on the dress is seriously outrageous and the deep v in the back makes it even more beautiful.
Up next is the Lilianan dress by Casablana Bridal . This dress was very comfortable on. I loved how simple it was with the dress made entirely of the laser cut floral lace and the beaded belt. You can’t tell much form the picture but there is a slight shimmer underlay below the floral lace. I recommend totally giving a dress like this a try if you’re looking for something simple, yet different.
This dress is another Casablanca Bridal dress! I know I’m saying every dress is beautiful, and they are all truly gorgeous, but this one totally tops them all with how stunning the simplicity is. The top has so much detail with the plunging v neck and the lace overlay. I love that the waistline is beaded adding the perfect amount of sparkle and that the lace is again at the bottom. I absolutely loved how this dress flowed on the ground while walking.
I am totally aware that I need a size up but let me just say that I never once thought I would love this style of dress and the fabric choice! I felt like a freaking queen in this dress with the fit and the detail. This dress is the Guipure Lace and Paloma Satin Wedding Dress by Paloma Blanca and the beading on the front and the buttons on the back are probably what made me feel so glamorous. The best part about this dress is that the buttons are just there for show (heck yes!) and there is a full on zipper in the back to make going to the bathroom a breeze!
This next dress was the most different of them all because this dress had back jewelry! Of course it doesn’t have to be worn and is just an option but it was really cool seeing it all together. This dress is by La Sposa//St. Patrick! I have a ton of photos of the back of the dress because the details steals the show.
This next dress is the one I had the most fun in! Oh my gosh I loved it!!! This dress is probably my second choice if end up going to a fancy gala because the top won me over. This is the Joyce dress by Lis Simon. The beading on the bodice is so beautiful and adds so much to the dress. I had never seen straps like this on a wedding dress before which could be another reason I loved the top so much. The bottom of the dress was very full but it was so flattering against me that I didn’t feel like I was wearing a full blown cinderella gown.
This last dress was something I would have never tried on and when I think of bridal gowns I instantly think of this one. I never thought I would’ve liked to see myself in this style of dress, but here I am asking my husband to marry me all over again so I go get another dress haha. This dress is by Robert Bullock Bride. I have a favorite part each and every dress I try on and on this dress my favorite part is the back. The buttons win me over every time. There is nothing more elegant and classy than having those buttons up and down the dress (don’t worry, this one is a full zipper too).
