some fall favorites
I have so many fall favorites that I can’t wait to share! I have some posts coming soon that are more fashion and beauty focused so be on the lookout for those. For now, here are some things (very random things) I’ve been loving a little more during this time.
Of course I have to start off with some brew! The Good and Gather brand at Target seriously has some of the yummiest flavors. I’m a big fan of caramel anything but a little picky with caramel flavored coffee. Their Caramel Macchiato makes our house smell like heaven when it’s brewing and every sip is like the first. Haha. SO good! It’s a light roast coffee and I usually top it off with the So Delicious Coconut whip cream.
I took a vow to not buy any candles this year because I tend to spend a lot in the category. I don’t need them but the Capri Blue – Spiced Cider from Anthropologie is a must have for me (just one a year..haha). It is seasonal so I get a few and try to keep myself from burning them as long as I can. I love them so much. I also just realized they have an oil diffuser of Spiced Cider so I’ll be adding that to my little Capri Blue collection.
A good alternative to candles that I’ve had this year that’s been really nice is a diffuser (linked the one I have here) with the Capri Blue – Volcano Diffuser Oil. This is my absolute favorite scent of theirs and the oil bottle has lasted me quite a while. This isn’t so much a fall thing as it is a year round thing, but I feel like smells are favored more in the fall, so I had to share!
Apple Crisp and baked apples! I usually forget about apples until this time of year. Truthfully, baked apples don’t sound good with 90deg weather unless it involves deep fried fair food. I have used multiple recipes from Pinterest in the past but this one is my favorite and super easy! While we’re on the topic of food, I love my mom’s pumpkin bread. No recipie to show for it but she’s already made a couple loaves for me this year. I know mine will never be as good as hers so I don’t even try.
I’m really enjoying my very little, single, ceramic pumpkin! I think this is the vibe I’d like to go for with future fall decor. I’ve shared this on stories, but our home has zero storage so seasonal decor gets pushed to the back (expect for Christmas). I’m sure when we move I’ll go a little more wild and I cannot wait for it!
The older I get the more appreciative I am of yummy body washes. Yes, I do want my whole shower experience to feel like I’m wrapped up in a chai latte. Philosophy has some of the best holiday scents. I’ll be sure to keep you posted for the Christmas scents. For now we have apple cider and cinnamon chai latte. Both of these are on QVC and they always have a fun code if you’re a first time shopper to save some $$.
Lastly….middle parts. I told you all this would be super random of things. I am OBSESSED with middle parts. Insanely obsessed. Every fall I obsess over long hair with middle parts. So, I finally started the transition on myself a couple months back and just now am I seeing results. My hair doesn’t want to go down the middle easily. Here are some quick tips on transitioning to a middle part. 1. Do it gradually. 2. It’s easiest to start when your hair is wet and to dry it in the direction you want your hair to go. 3. Hair is trainable! It takes patience, but it’s do able and you’ll get the best results that way!
