social media update + striped rainbow sweater ootd

Before getting into the outfit, which I’m obsessed with and want to wear everyday, I really want to touch base on Instagram and my blog. I hit my one year mark not even a month ago and have already noticed a huge growth in my following and in myself personally. Ya’ll are amazing!

I completely changed my Instagram and my blog into something that I love and I am so excited and proud of what’s to come. I definitely want to touch base later on why I wanted to change so I won’t go too into it. When making this change I for sure thought that I would lose a ton of followers, and I did lose a hundred or so, but I am so surprised by the amount of support I’ve gotten and gained with this change. I needed to really make this for me and I have seriously felt so much more confident in myself and that was something that I really missed!

The engagement on my Instagram posts and blog posts have been out of this world, too! I broke 1k likes on a few photos which means the world to me, I have gained a ton of followers and subscribers in the process that truly enjoy my content and I can only go up from here! I am so thankful and grateful for all the opportunity that has come with this. I don’t feel like I’m in a rut anymore and look forward to shooting more content and creating more blog posts. I can’t even imagine what my growth will be and my outlook on this a year from now. I’m very excited!!

Now the outfit….OBSESSED. I am absolutely obsessed with every piece of it!!! I did a clean sweep of my shoes earlier last week to finally part with all the shoes that no longer fit after having Laken and I completely forgot that I had these boots!!! They were the whole inspiration for this outfit. The boots are the Treasure & Bond Lynx Stretch Over the Knee Boots, which are unfortunately sold out everywhere and I am so sad about it. I linked some awesome dupes for you all at the very bottom of the post though that are equally as comfy and amazing.

With over the knee boots I have learned that I have a few that I love to wear and some that I just love to look at haha. All of them are darling but my gosh, not all of them are comfy. Not sure if this applies to other people, but I love over the knee boots because they make my legs look longer. I’m only 5’3″ so I need all the extra height I can get. I have also realized that I don’t necessarily need a higher heel to help when I’m wearing over the knee boots which is why these are easily my favorite pair.

This rainbow sweater is form Vici Collection and is the Keeper Striped Knit Sweater. I’m wearing a size small and feel very cozy in it! It’s not too thick/heavy which makes it good to wear on days that still reach 80deg. I wore it with shorts a few times and was very comfortable in it. The sweater is a little more on the cropped side but can still be worn comfortably in mid rise jeans. Other than wearing it with this skirt, I really like wearing it with my boyfriend jeans and tucking the sweater in at the waist.
