Sharing haircare built on science with Virtue

Over these last few months I’ve been so fortunate to have the opportunity to test out a couple high-end haircare brands and share them with you all. Of course being in the industry that I am it’s not uncommon for me to be trying something new, but being able to share with you all is what’s fun! I’m all about healthy hair and if I can help anyone in the process, it’s a total win! So far the best part about every single brand I’ve tried out is that they are all so different.

I will be so dang honest with you all here when I say that when I saw these products hit our back bar at work I literally thought, “They’re too pretty to actually work.” Can I go back and smack myself a little bit here?! Yeah, they’re pretty, but they actually do work!!! Something I also want to be honest with you all with these products is that they have a very high price point. I don’t want to say YOU NEED THESE but what’s formulated in these products is what sets them apart from other brands. Before I really get into Virtue and rant about how freaking incredible their products are I want to get real with you all. As a stylist and as a consumer we’re told/educated on very many different things. For one, Keratin from a consumers view is incredible and a must-have. Keratin from a stylists view instantly makes me want to cringe. Keratin has to be used correctly for it to work. With that being said, Keratin can actually cause more damage if not used properly on the hair or in product. I share this because Virtue’s scientists found a way to collect Keratin in its purest form so our bodies can recognize it as our own and that’s what’s so dang amazing!

recovery shampoo

This particular shampoo helps to remove any build-up while filling in the damage to the hair healthy and soft.

This shampoo is very concentrated and more water should be used than product to get a rich lather. I always like to say that you know a product is good when you can feel it in their shampoo. The first time I used this shampoo my jaw dropped in disbelief that I could actually feel a difference.

recovery conditioner

The description online says it best, “Virtue Recovery Conditioner is a rich, luxurious conditioner that helps bring damaged hair back to life. It reconstructs frayed cuticles and brittle ends, infusing hair with softness, shine, and manageability.”

I prefer a thick conditioner and its not very often I find one that melts into my hair. Most thick conditioners fall off before being able to be worked in.

6 in 1 styler

This styler primes the hair to add softness, shine, and hydration. It also strengthens the hair, protects from heat, and helps to polish the ends. It can be used in damn or dry hair.

I personally have used this both wet and dry. On my wet hair I’ll massage it all over from root to tip, and then on dry hair I’ll apply it mid-shaft to ends to help seal.

This styler is very bouncy so there is no chance it could leave a sticky mess if too much is used.

Healing oil

Can I bathe in this?! I truly think it would heal every problem I’ve ever had my entire life. This healing oil is a little on the pricy side as oils go, but for dang good reason!!!!

This oil is infused with the Alpha Keratin 60kuⓇ protein plus three super oils to give the hair an instant dose of health and shine.

I use this product when my hair is wet so I can really work it into my problem areas. I take 2-3 pumps per use and focus on my ends and then I’ll go straight into the baby hairs around my face. Those super fine baby hairs get the most damage between highlights and heat so they need all the love possible. I have noticed the biggest difference in those pieces since introducing this product to my hair routine.

Restorative treatment mask

This mask is a 3-minute miracle worker. Yes, 3 minutes is all it takes. I use this sparingly and focus on my ends and around my face (no reason other than I will be so sad when it’s gone).
