rounding up the recent purchases
I’ve become a pro online shopper these last two months so it only makes sense to round up all that I can and share it with you all! I did a whole lot of organization, a whole lot of cleaning, a whole lot of finishing projects, and then a few fun things! I made it very easy for all of you to shop if you interested by clicking the picture and it will take you directly to the item!
Starting with more essential items, Kyler and I were desperate for new socks! Neither of us could remember the last time we got them. I have been incredibly happy with these no show socks for me (left). They have little crips around the heel and top of foot and are comfortable. Kyler wanted no show socks to avoid a golfing tan lines and these had really good reviews(right).
I got a few fitness items to test out and share too! The first are these gray high waisted lifting leggings. They come in three colors and are right at $25. They are the dupe to GymShark leggings and although I’ve never tried their leggings, I could see myself becoming a fan. I got my medium and really love the fit.
I got these pants due the reviews and I’m not even kidding when I say I had to pull them off of Kyler. He opened the package and felt them before I could and claimed them as his. I had to order another pair so we each had one and I see why there are over 6,500 4.5 star reviews! I got myself a small and then ordered the xl for Kyler. They have a really good stretch to them.
I decided to join the biker short trend and wanted a very inexpensive pair to try out. These ones from Hanes were only $7 and I don’t think I’ll wear them out but I have loved wearing them around the house. $7 well spent.
Laken was desperate for some new pjs and I’m very picky about them. We needed them asap and I don’t typically order from Amazon but these had the best reviews. These are officially one of her favorite pairs of pjs! She keeps asking for more in other colors!
This purchase was my most recent and we needed it fast! We actually have family pictures today and the girls didn’t have dressed that fit them both in the color theme. Amazon to the rescue! We got these dresses in beige and they look so darling on! Very affordable and great quality for the price!
We’re in the process of making over our front porch area and we order a set of these curtains. I really like them. The straps that hang at the top are velcro and make it incredibly easy to take down and clean. They have totally transformed our space and I love it!
We’re also giving Laken a big girl room makeover and I’ve found a handful of accent pieces! This white rug to me was a very good price. It’s been so long time since I’ve seen one in store so I snagged it while I could. We have it styled over her hanging chair in her room which I have linked next!
We added a swinging chair in Laken’s room and she officially has the coolest room in the house. This boho chair is for indoors and outdoors. The one we found didn’t have any of the kit pieces in it so we had to go out and buy it our self and it equaled to about what this swing with the hanging kit cost. It held my 230lb husband easily haha.
I am in love with the floating picture look but have you looked at the price of acrylic lately?! It’s so expensive! This frame (left) fits an 11×14 picture and is $30. Right now it’s on sale for $25 and I will be taking full advantage of it being on sale and snag a few more for around the house. We ended up spray painting the silver knobs gold and it was so easy to hang! I’m also got some brass frames (right) to place around the house on our floating shelves. they look super pretty layered up against other frames.
We have terrible luck with any type of shower organizer so I pulled the plug and got these heavy duty adhesive corner wall storage bins. We only have two and have had them for a little over 4 months and there are there for good. Installation is easy. It’s pretty much like putting a big sticker on the shower wall and removal is easy too.
Obviously I’ve purchased more pampas grass! I’ve purchased from this seller on Amazon before and had really good luck! The stems come long so it’s easy to make it to size.
Back to Laken’s room redo…she wants pink everything so I got some really cute pink vases for her! This one is my favorite of the ones I got.
Pillow covers! You can get a set of 2 for $13 and they’re easy to clean and change out. I currently have the cream ones for our living room and the light pink for Laken’s room.
We got some activity books for Laken to keep her busy and they’ve been a big hit. The left book helps with getting comfortable with cutting with scissors. It has all sorts of shapes and lines to cut along and she thinks its fun. The right book is a typical activity book!
We also watched butterflies grow! That was the most exciting thing in our home and I think Kyler and I loved it a little more than she did. This kit comes with the caterpillars and the net.
I personally made it a goal during my time off to focus on budgeting and to get all of our personal and my blogging info organized. I did a lot of reviewing on budget planners and this one looked best for me. There’s a whole bunch to fill out from goals, to keeping track of accounts, to monthly budgeting. I have really enjoyed filling it out.
I got these stacking cups for Chloe and she has loved them! We even take them in the bathtub. I was surprised we didn’t have any in our home and I love the colors of these ones.
I took advantage of this time and trying to get things fixed. I ordered lint shaver and it’s been so satisfying to do! We use it on everything from sweaters, to leggings, to furniture, to blankets. It’s easy to use and clean up.
Lastly, we have a can crusher! Kyler drank a lot of beer over quarantine as I’m sure tons did haha and I was tired of how much space the un-crushed cans were taking up in our recycling bin! This one is heavy duty!
