Pull-apart Braid & Living Proof Products

So, if you follow me on Instagram you will probably notice the Living Proof Products I’ve been talking about, along with a few braided hair styles. To start off, I am obsessed with braids. My hair has never been the length it is now. I do have days were I’m ready to chop it all off & call it quits, but then I remember how long it took me to get to this length. I’d rather be able to pull it back in a pony for weeks straight instead of struggling having  to style it every day.

My trick to getting that thicker braid is taking a bigger chunk of hair than you normally would & dutch french braiding it down to the very end. Once you’ve reached the end, you’ll slowly start to pinch the braid in random places & pull to fan out the braid. It’s personal preference on if you would rather tie it off with a clear elastic before fanning, but I personally find it easier to fan without because you don’t have a clear elastic to work around. I also really like the look of a more messy braid & am able to get that quicker without using a clear elastic. I love how braids can add so much to an outfit without taking any extra time out of your day, too! It’s much easier than it looks/sounds! The pull-apart braids work well with any hair type!! I’m very fortunate to have an insane amount of hair but hair is easy to manipulate & basic extensions are easy to get a hold of.

Now, onto the Living Proof products…. guys, I’m obsessed with their Style Lab product line. I’ve been using them at work on my clients for the past few weeks & the past week I started using them on myself! I seriously feel like these products were made for me! I did a quick skim on the back to get an understanding when I first received them & the first thing that stuck out to me was that it extends any style twice as long. For someone who hates washing their hair this is PERFECT!!!! My personal top three are the Flex Shaping Hairspray, T.B.D. Multi-Tasking Styler, & Prime Style Extender. These three are really lightweight & don’t add extra oils or a tacky layer to the hair. They help out tremendously  when it comes to braids because it holds the style & shape of the braid all day. Plus, I think it’s pretty cool the flex hairspray can also be used on damp hair. I can already tell that the Style Lab line will be the most used products in my bathroom.
