Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Haul 2021

I’m sure I don’t need to give the rundown of what the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is, but in the chance you don’t know, it’s their yearly sale where new fall items are marked down in prep for the season. For some it’s an excuse to drop a couple $$$$ for hauls. For me it’s all about basics. I’ve found some of my favorite closet staple items from these sales.
I have to be very honest about this sale because 4 years ago I absolutely loved shopping it. I had so much fun shopping in store, doing try ons, and being able to share all the details! Last year was my last go-all-out year because I learned a whole lot about how other Influencers take the sale and it’s really disappointing. This is in no way saying that Nordstrom is a bad company, because it most certainly is not and continues to be one of my favorite stores to shop at. I just look at the sale very differently now. Yennow?
Something I do want to bring attention to during this sale is that if you choose to shop in store, know that those ladies/men checking you out are paid commission. I only share this because if you are someone that overbuys and then returns they get hit big time when the returned transaction is complete. What absolutely hurts my heart about this is that there are some crazy big influencers that will intentionally buy thousands of $$ worth of clothes/shoes/bags/accessories, take their pictures and make their posts….and then they’ll return it all. I just hate it and think it’s so wrong. Don’t be that person.
As for me, I want it to be clear that I have a very average income coming in. I budget for this sale and plan about a year in advanced. I didn’t buy things just to buy them and am genuinely excited to share my finds with you all and how I style them. I did splurge on some things tho.
