My skincare fridge
You all have nooo idea how excited I am to talk about this beauty find and the struggle I’ve had to get my hands on this! It’s beautiful, right?! And so ridiculously unnecessary but it’s the cutest little skincare must have! When Kyler first saw it the first thing he said was You actually bought a fridge for your skincare?? You are ridiculous. Haha! I have had this fridge for over two weeks now and love it.
So, if you aren’t following @theskinnyconfidential on Instagram you need to follow her now. Lauryn is the skincare queen and takes the crown for being the most extra in skincare. Her husband is just as obsessed with skincare and it’s so much fun following her. She introduced her little skincare fridge probably a year ago and it’s taken me that long to get my hands on one!
The best part is that you can find this exact fridge at Walmart for seriously $19.99. The bad part is that it’s always sold out. I have signed up to get notified and twice now I have missed them having them in stock. I’m a brat and totally needed the pink so for over a year I’ve refused to get any other one! Since then, there have actually been a few companies that have come out with actual skincare fridges that have compartments for sheet masks which is pretty cool! (I’ll have all the other options linked at the end of the post.) I knew that someone was seeing the demand in these little fridges and was buying them all so I went on eBay and found the one I’m showing you all today for brand new! I paid more than I should have (I think $60) but it was worth it!
All the photos above are everything I keep in the fridge on the daily. I love keeping my moisturizers, serums, under-eye pads, sheet masks, and facial roller in it. There is something about putting cold skincare on your face in the morning and night that is so refreshing. I definitely think it adds more of that ‘spa’ feel and we should all feel pampered with our skincare.
I couldn’t really find an article to back up why you should keep skincare products in a fridge, or if it’s even beneficial to have them cold. All I could really find were a few sources saying that keeping anything with Vitamin C cold can extend the life of the product. I can honestly say I don’t think that’s a good thing to go off of because there’s a reason products have an expiration date. I would say the fridge look is definitely for the aesthetic hah.
Everything in my fridge!
-My Nurse Jamie facial roller: you can find the dupe here for 1/3 of the price. A lot of facial rollers are actually recommend to be kept cold to help push out unwanted fluid when rolling the face.
–Murad Eye Lift Firming Treatment: I honestly really like anything cold under my eyes. It wakes me up and makes me feel more refreshed!
–Peter Thomas Roth Water Drenched Serum
-Peter Thomas Roth Hyrda-Gel Eye Patches: I have kept my under eye gel pads in the fridge for quite some time! I actually think it helps bring the fluid in my eye bags to the surface to help plump that area.
–Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream
–Dr. Dennis Gross IPL Dark Spot Correcting Serum: I keep a few different serums in my fridge for options. This is my current favorite that I’m using at the moment.
–Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retional Anti Aging Moisturizer: this is a super thick moisturizer that I keep in there and usually use at night. This is one that I really work on rubbing in and I feel like I massage my face more when the cream is cold.
–Dr. Dennis Gross Daily Peel Pads: These definitely don’t need to be in a fridge but I have gone a little crazy over having my skincare cold and like to have it. I can’t say it’s made any difference other than it feels good haha.
–Laneige Lip Sleep Mask: Not only am I going to rave about this product but if you don’t have a lip balm that you keep cold you are totally missing out. It is seriously one of the best feelings in the entire world finishing your night off with moisturized lips. The sleep mask also comes in a vanilla flavor that you can find here
