My new lipstick favorites
I haven’t felt pretty in a lip color in years. I know that sounds so dramatic but I used to wear lipstick every single day and would have a minimum of five tubes in my purse at all times. Ladies, you know how we find bobby pins everywhere? Imagine that with lipstick. I was obsessed!!!! Needless to say, I am genuinely happy that I found some lip colors that I love, I feel pretty in, and feels amazing. Also, I found a lip gloss! Which to some may seem like nothing, but for me is everything! I have never been a gloss girl due to the fact that I’ve never found a gloss that I liked that wasn’t sticky!
The products that I’m about to show you are all products from Charlotte Tilbury. They were all definitely a splurge for me but if you read my post over Decluttering skin care, makeup & hair products, then you’ll know that I got rid of a ton of makeup and felt okay with making the purchase after parting with so many old lip products.
Since Charlotte Tilbury is a little on the pricy side, I know I’ll be getting a ton of questions as to why I decided on her products. Believe it or not, I actually spent a few days researching her colors. I spent hours on Pinterest looking at models wearing her colors and spent quite a bit of time looking under #CharlotteTilbury on Instagram. My reasoning for that is I’m very fair and my skin is more of a neutral/cool tone and if a color is too warm it will make me look sick and if it’s too cool it will make me look sick. I can’t win haha. I’ve known of Charlotte Tilbury for years but didn’t realize how beautiful her cosmetics where until recently. I ended up getting two lip liners, one lipstick, and the gloss/lip plumper (all pictured and somewhat swatched below).
So the Charlotte Tilbury lip liners are $22. I don’t consider them be that bad in price considering the quality. I have never in my life felt a lip liner go on as buttery and smooth as these do. I am absolutely obsessed with her lip liners and don’t ever see myself going for another brand. The two liners I chose were Iconic Nude and Pillow Talk. Of the 15 colors she has I would consider these to be the most nude, but they really all are neutral colors.
I do use the liners under lipstick, but I also use them on their own and will put the Collagen Lip Bath over top of it. The Collagen Lip Bath is a gloss that doubles as a lip plumper without the tingle. The Collagen Lip Bath is $35. I normally would never pay that much for a gloss but the second I tested it out and realized there was zero stick to it I had to have it. I now wear it on the daily by itself and feel very hydrated from it.
The lipstick that I chose is from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick line of her’s and I chose the shade Bitch Perfect (such a fun name, right?!). The lipsticks were $34 which again I didn’t think was terrible considering the quality. This shade is one of the more nude shades of all ten in the collection. My lips feel very hydrated with this lipstick and the color doesn’t fade fast. I definitely feel like I could apply this once before going out and be good for the rest of the night. I have the picture of the lipstick itself down below!

I’ve been considering getting pillow talk! It is such a gorgeous color! I know they are a bit pricey, but as long as the formula is good, and it is something that will be used, it is totally worth it!

I’ve been thinking about getting pillow talk for a while. I just haven’t done it yet. It’s such a gorgeous color! I know they’re pricey, but if the formula is good and it is something that will be used, then it is definitely worth it!
