My must have items post baby
Holy freaking heck. I forgot alll about what it was like to have a newborn haha. You think going through it once that I would have had some idea but it has been so long since that newborn stage that I pretty much started fresh. Personally, I love the newborn stage. It’s challenging but I also think it’s slightly easier than other stages. I will say with having baby number two I felt so much more prepared on what I did need and what I didn’t which helped so much. I especially felt more prepared on what I needed for myself. In today’s post I’m only sharing my top 5 must have items because the list is truly endless but these are the items that I have seen myself gravitate to more and more each day. These are also items that I catch myself saying in my head how amazing they are. Enjoy! 🙂
1.This first item truly needs a whole blog post on its own haha. I am OBSESSED with it and owe a huge thank you to my sister-in-law for introducing it to me. This Silicone Manual Breast Pump is the coolest thing ever. Every single time I nurse Chloe I use this on the other boob and it catches everything that leaks out. Since doing this, I have not had bring my pump out other than a few times. It’s quite shocking how much you’re able to save with this pump and everything I save goes directly to our freezer stash. I have saved so much that I’m actually annoyed that I didn’t have this with Laken.
2. This is another nursing item and I so wish I would’ve gotten them last time around. Obviously with nursing comes the super tender nipples and it can be super uncomfortable. I invested in these Bamboobies Nursing pads and there is sooo much relief haha. They’re a little more expensive than a box of disposable nursing pads but in the long run you’re saving so much more money and they are so much more softer! Even after washing they keep that soft feel.
3. To make it so much easier on those night changes I HIGHLY recommend getting knotted gowns. Spearmint Love sells my favorite sleepers and they’re all unisex and very reasonable in price! I purchased the basic solid colored gowns and each came with a little hat and each gown has the extra fabric on the wrists to double as mittens.
4. This item is for those mornings I look have asleep. I have been saving a little stash of these in my bathroom (mainly b/c Kyler takes all of mine) just to use for these days. Milk under eye patches seriously give just enough of a boost of energy and help with those puffy eyes. The only downfall on these is the price where it’s $22 for 6 packets but if you’re like me then you use them on the days you REALLY need some help. A little tip for you all is to store your eye patches in the fridge. Keeping them cool makes them feel so much more refreshing the second they hit your face.
5. Did I need a new water bottle, no. Do I love this water bottle, yes! I’m trying to flush everything out of my system in prep for when I go crazy on losing this baby weight. I drink maybe two of these a day and I have never felt so good! I probably needed more water on the daily anyway so I’m not going to complain!
