My Favorite Lipsticks

So I tried really hard narrowing my top favorite lip colors down. After taking pictures and now putting this post together I’m realizing that all these colors are pretty much in the same family. My favorite lipsticks by far are liquid lipsticks (even though most of the ones in this post are creams) because when I do wear lipstick I tend to forget I have it on throughout the day. I added my favorite lip accessories and some lip scrubs that I love, too! Enjoy!

 

MAC in WHIRL

 

 

 

 

This is by far my most worn color! Whirl is a mix of browns and reds and it compliments so many skin tones! I believe they also make this color, or one similar, in a liquid lipstick!

MAC in PERSISTENCE

 

 

 

 

 

This color is seriously SO close to Whirl, but it has deeper red tones! a lot of the times I’ll steer clear from a true red only because they tend to have quite a bit of orange in it and orange doesn’t look the best on my lips.

MAC in POLITELY PINK

 

 

 

 

When I first really started wearing lipstick I wore this color every single day. I have probably gone through three of these tubes! It’s super strange to me now because I’m not at all a pink person but this color is so pretty!!! It is part of the luster family with the shimmer it has but it’s so pretty that you hardly notice the shimmer! They do have darker shades within the family of Politely Pink that still have some shimmer if this color is too light for you!

Smashbox O-Plump

 

 

 

 

I have tried so many lip plumbers over the years and this one is my absolute favorite! I’m not a big gloss person and there’s hardly any tacky feeling there with O-Plump! Smashbox does have two separate lip plumbers and this one has a little bit of a pink tint to it! The tingle is definitely there too!

 Liquid Lipsticks

I had to give my lips a major break after trying on all those lipsticks so I went with swatches on my arm instead! These are all of my favorite liquids! All of them are a very smooth formula, are long-lasting, and don’t leave your lips feeling dry. If you haven’t noticed, they’re all in the same color family too! (Colors are listed below L to R)

 

 

Kat Von D

Lolita- Chestnut Rose

I love a deep wine color on the lip and this is the closest one I could find to that made up color in my mind! It compliments all skin tones and goes on like velvet! The only thing I don’t care for with Kat Von D is the size of their lipsticks. I wish they were bigger.

 Bare Minerals

Swag

Bare Minerals is a hit or miss with some people. Their formula is my absolute favorite with how pigmented it is! It goes on super smooth and smells like cocoa.

  Stila

Biscotti – taupe brown

Stila is probably second in line to Bare Minerals with their neutrals/mauve. Biscotti is one of my absolute favorites, but I usually only wear it when I’m going out because it is so much darker.

Patina – dusty rose

This color is the perfect mauve in my eyes. It is soooo pretty and compliments a ton of makeup looks! It also looks really pretty paired with a really natural face.

Accessories and Scrubs

These are a few of my favorite scrubs! They all smell soooo yummy!

 

I think these super cute acrylic cases are the best way to go when it comes to organizing lipstick but I also love the pretty set ups they make! I have the $28 Anthropologie metal holder that I actually snagged up from reading my favorite bloggers post so I knew I had to add it in here for you all! The lipstick holder key chain is second on my list of things to get. Isn’t it the cutest?!
