my favorite clothing stores for little ones

I feel like I need to put a huge disclaimer on this before I sound like a total snob for where I shop for Laken and the new little babe haha. I also am really sorry if this post is geared more towards girl clothing. I am so clueless when it comes to boy clothing but almost all the shops that I’m linking do have a section for boys and a ton of gender neutral options!!

Just to get it out of the way, I am a huge fan of quality over quantity. I would much rather invest in fewer pieces that I know will last than anything. I have nothing against kids clothing chains like Carter’s and have spent a few hundred dollars on their stuff when Laken was super little. However, almost everything that I have gotten of theirs has shrunk after the first wash and to me the quality just sucks. I’m a total freak about making sure her clothes last too. I wash everything of hers on cold or hand wash them. I also hang dry everything or dry them on low heat. I’m super weird about anyone else washing her clothes. I’ve always been this way haha. I’m this way with my clothes too so don’t think it’s just her things. Anything that I spend a pretty penny on gets a special treatment.

I know something else I’ll probably get is why I’m willing to spend this much money on something they’ll wear for three months and then outgrow. You would be surprised by how much longer a piece of clothing lasts when it’s a higher quality. In case you don’t believe me, Laken is almost 2.5 years old and she is still fitting in her tops that I’ve purchased from Rylee and Cru that are sizes 12-18 months. She also has $4 tops from Old Navy that are a 3t and they are already too small for her.

Best baby and toddler boutiques in Lawrence and Kansas City (for my locals and I will be adding more to this list as I visit them and stuff).

Sweet Tea & Caviar – the only place in Lawrence and they have an incredible selection

lauren alexandra – Kansas City boutique that sells an insane clothing selection, baby goods, nursery furniture and one-on-one nursery design.

My Blonde Ambitions Boutique – KC boutique located on Metcalf. The site is currently under construction but they are also a photo studio!

Now here is my never ending list of favorite places to shop at!

Rylee and Cru – This is my all time favorite clothing line! I have pjs, dresses, pants, onesies, sweaters, and so many other fun items from this line. This line is on the pricer side but so freaking beautiful!

Quincy Mae – This is owned by Rylee and Cru but is a less expensive line and more of a basics line.

Jamie Kay – both pieces you see above are from this shop. These pieces are now on sale.

Jax and Lennon – Another great basic store and very gender neutral. They have quickly become my new go-to boutique. The jumpers are to die for and the floral prints are so pretty.

Milk Barn – Hands down THE BEST pjs ever. They snap up all the way and are made of bamboo. The material is so soft and so breathable. Laken is a sleep sweater and these saved us many nights

Rowdy Sprout – This shop is totally for the band tee lovers!!

Native Shoes – the best summertime shoes

Baby Bling – the best bow collection

Blondes in Bows – the best big obnoxious bows lol

adan + anais – This is another little favorite shop of mine that sells swaddles. I have recently become huge with swaddles and want to use them more often than I did with Laken.

Tea Collection – This is my all time favorite place to get leggings. These leggings are perfect for our babes with extra long legs. You can also find them on Nordstrom.

Zara – the only chain store that I like to buy fancy clothing from

Old Navy – the only chain store that I will buy basics from

Bibs – our pacifier store of choice

Greenberry Kids – I am in love with their dresses! They have the most beautiful dresses ever. This place is a little higher in price but worth it for special occasions.

Little Unicorn – The cutest little swaddles <3

Alice and Ames – I go here for my summer day dresses! They are super simple, beyond cute, and come in so many little patterns.

Spearmint – This is little shop is made up of many shops and so many of my favorite brands!! Actually most of the shops that are mentioned on here are available online at Spearmint. My favorite line that they carry is Spearmint Love and I have ordered quite a few knotted gowns for our new baby to sleep in for easier diaper changes.

Little Baberham – This shop is major boho and the older Laken gets the more I like to shop here!

I was trying really hard to find more photos but can’t find my external hard-drive that has them all (freaking out a little on that one!). If you scroll back far enough on my Instagram you’ll see all the photos of Laken that I took. I have a lot of the brands tagged! I will make an effort to tag all the shops I get clothing come for Laken and the new little baby!
