Mustard Velvet Sweater
Happy Wednesday!!!! I can not believe that it is almost the end of October! This month flew by especially fast because I get MARRIED in 17 days……oh my goodness! I swear that three days ago I still had six months left to prepare myself!
As excited as I am for november to get here, I’m a little bummed out that October is almost over & we still haven’t gone to the pumpkin patch with Laken. I almost feel guilty for it because Kyler & I have gone to the pumpkin patch in our town for the past 4 years & I really don’t want to break that tradition (or miss out on the pictures)! This is the first time Laken could actually enjoy the animals, run around, & knowing her, eat the dirt, but we honestly just haven’t had any time! Between wedding things & Kyler’s extremely busy work schedule it’s been difficult to plan a time to even go to the grocery store. I have an amazing work opportunity coming up, too, that I can’t quite share yet, but be expecting a post about it within the next month! Hint: Moroccan Oil 😉
Now…this amzing, extremely soft sweater!!! It’s from Target!!! I see all these amazing sweaters at Nordstrom & Madewell & it’s so hard not to cave in to get them. The mustard, navy, burgundy, & tan colors are so beautiful this fall..I want them all, but I have a wine taste on a beer bottle budget & I constantly have to keep reminding myself that. lol. With that being said, Target has really stepped their game up & are bringing the 90’s! I was born in 1994, so I can’t really label myself as a crazed 90’s baby, but the 90’s are totally coming back & I’m 100% okay with it. The only downfall with Target is that they seem to only carry 3 of each size & once it’s gone, it’s gone. I’m lucky enough that I live super close to the one by our home & I work in the same strip mall as one, too. I’m guaranteed to find what I’m looking for at one of them! I always do braids with sweaters because it’s quick & is always bound to look good! I totally rely on Pinterest for braid inspirations!
So something I just have to point out. I’m sure you all didn’t notice it but I’m taking pictures outside against my house siding. There are hoses even featured in some of them. I find it humours the extent I will go to, to get pictures because about 98% of the time I’m having to take them myself. I usually go in our backyard or stand by our front porch because it’s good lighting & I’m secluded. I mean, come on….it’s embarrasing standing outside your house in front of a tri-pod holding a pose for 10 seconds, or snapping selfies with someone watching. At least for me it is cause I haven’t reached that level of comfortable in front of a camera. Can anyone else relate to this?! lol! For those wondering, Kyler does enjoy taking pictures when he wants to! The only issue is he commutes for his job (he has second shift) & has to leave the house at 1pm & doesn’t get home till 11:30pm. It’s long tiring days that he is very loving enough to do for his girls & we appreciate it! He did come up to me this morning saying how much he wanted to be in pictures…so he will be in a lot more very soon!
Where do you guys like to shop for sweaters most?? My favorite stores for them are Target, Madewell, & small town boutiques!
xx- Kendra
SIZE – I am wearing a medium! I could have gone with a small but I prefer to wear my sweaters a little big.
