Laken’s Easter Basket
I never thought I’d look forward to these small holidays as much as I do since having Laken. This is our first official Easter with her where we do a basket and an egg hunt! Last year she was so little that we left it up to the grandmas because I knew their baskets wouldn’t disappoint…and they didn’t!
I was so anxious and excited about making her easter basket that I was done mid February! Laken is a total girly girl so she’s super fun to shop for. Plus she gets excited for the littlest of things which makes my heart so happy. We decided to keep it simple and a little more practical with the gifts because she is only 1.5 years old. I ended up picking out two super cute pairs of sandals from Target for the spring that she actually needed. We also got her some chalk and of course an easter book. The purse wasn’t supposed to be a part of the basket but she refused to let it go one shopping trip so I’m sneaking it in there to justify getting her a purse. Haha.
We’re super excited for this Easter! I can’t wait to share all the pictures we take of miss sass doing her little egg hunt and looking all cute! 🙂
Coming up with a basket was probably the hardest thing I had to think of. I thought about a traditional easter basket with Laken’s name on it like I had, but I hated the idea of using a basket once and then putting it in the closet for the rest of the year. These baskets below are some that I love and are affordable! If you are a big Easter lover the first Bunny basket from Anthropologie is definitely for you! Fingers crossed it goes on a super-duper clearance so I can snag it for next year. I actually ended up getting the woven basket from Target (second basket) which is currently holding her diapers…lol.
Since Spring is right around the corner I ended up buying sandals for Laken that I know she’ll wear. She gets excited over everything right now so I know she’ll love them. Target has the cutest tennis shoes and rain boots right now for toddlers!
I loveeee adding books to whatever I can add a book to. My current favorites are the “The Pigeon….” books! They’re only $9.69 and have full-page length pictures!
Just for fun I like adding little toys! I’ll spoil Laken with things from the dollar section from Target and splurge a little on more expensive things. I’m partial to picking out girl toys but I love the initial pillow that would work well in either genders room. I also love the plush dolls. They are so cute and add a ton of character to a room!
I would love to hear what all you’re putting inside your little’s Easter Baskets and I hope you all have a wonderful Easter 🙂
