How to easily style a suede skirt with a basic tee
Are we excited for fall or what?! Honestly, I’m over constantly sweating and having to change my clothes 12 times a day to feel clean. Fall this year is especially exciting for me because there are a lot of clothes that I am just now fitting in to and I cannot wait to finally get the chance to wear them!
Today’s outfit styling is brought to you by a couple Nordstrom Sale pieces but I have all the dupes for them at a fraction of a price because they are sold out. This outfit also requires the least amount of work and can easily be thrown together with items you have at home!
Going into fall I know it will still be pretty toasty and as much as I want to go full force with the chunky sweaters and thigh high boots, I don’t think it’s practical. Thankfully there are sooo many ways to up-style basic pieces and I’m all for it.
The oversized tee I’m wearing is actually tucked up under my bra (head to the highlight ‘bra tucking’ on my Instagram to see what I’m referring to) to give it more of a cropped looked before I actually tuck it into the skirt. This seems like an unnecessary step at first, but it helps to give a more polished tuck as opposed to shoving the whole tee in the skirt and getting those lumps. I also roll the sleeves up enough just for a little extra added detail. The sleeve roll is wonderful for hiding macaroni stains made my little fingers too haha.
The last part is by far the easiest, and that’s adding accessories. For this particular look I actually went with more neutral (shocker!) by sticking with the same gold family in my accessories and having my purse and shoes be a similar tan color. I’m very into layering jewelry and love how these two look together.
