So once a year Beauty Brands has their Annual Hairspray Sale where you can purchase your favorite hairspray at its lowest price. This year they all added a ton of dry shampoo to the sale and this year it’s all $8.99! Now is the time to stock up or try something new. Since the sale is while supplies lasts it’s super important that you get what you need asap because I can promise you it’ll sell out.

Before I get into detail on the products I want to talk about Beauty Brands itself. I know I have a lot of you that are subscribed to my blog don’t have a Beauty Brands near them/have no idea what it is. I actually like a whole variety of hairspray and dry shampoo and I promise I’m not only sharing TIGI products because I love them. I’m sharing them in this post because I was educated on them last week by a TIGI professional and that knowledge is what’s fresh on my mind. Although, I will say that TIGI has some of the top selling dry shampoos and hairsprays 😉

Above I have the S-Factor Vivacious Hairspray, Bed Head Masterpiece Hairspray, and Catwalk Work It Hairspray. I know looking at these it’s hard to decided what would be best suited for you so here’s a little rundown.

• Vivacious Hairspray – this one is more a medium-high holding hairspray. I like to say that most people that use this gravitate towards this one because of the smell. It holds the hair in place and still allows for restyling or movement through the day. If you are someone that likes to touch up your hair throughout the day but are an every day styler this is for you.
• Masterpiece Hairspray – This is a one and done hairspray. It is a strong holding hairspray which means that it will hold your style the entire day. This is also a high shine hairspray and adds that sheen back into your hair that some hairsprays can really take out. If you are someone that likes to use hairspray once the entire day and never look or touch your hair again, this is for you. If it helps, I use this hairspray on parts of my hair that I want to stay the entire day(a braid that I don’t want to fall out), on my brides, and any prom updo!
• Work It Hairspray – This is a finishing spray and honestly one of my favorites. Unlike this hairspray there isn’t any grit in it that you can find in a lot of others (the white dots that build up overtime on the hair) which allows you to use this spray over and over again. I use this hairspray and have a few stocked up under the sink. This hairspray is perfect for anyone that goes days without washing their hair but still likes to style it every single day. You can brush this hairspray out each day and reapply it without ever feeling like you did. This hairspray is used by the professionals during NYFW.

Now for dry shampoo!!! By how much I talk abut dry shampoo it’s no secret that it’s the one product I stay stocked up on under my cabinet. I’m not a huge dry shampoo snob, so if it does what it’s supposed to do I am happy. After the event with the TIGI professional that I attended last week I learned that there is so much more to dry shampoo than I thought! I guess I always thought a dry shampoo was a dry shampoo and there was nothing really extra to it. I was wrong. Again, since I know more about TIGI products at the moment, I’m going to touch base on their dry shampoo but I will share my top favorites. Above I also have the Joico Instant Refresh in the photo and it’s one of the dry shampoos I will be trying out for the first time. I really like Joico products and have heard that this dry shampoo is perfect for a quick refresh and I actually plan on keeping it in my purse.

• Catwalk Transforming Dry Shampoo – This is a special type of dry shampoo and isn’t for anyone who wants to go days between washes. CRAZY RIGHT?!. This dry shampoo is for those who want instant body!! In the process of adding body it also absorbs oils and is entirely translucent. I would recommend this dry shampoo for someone who wants something light. I tested this out earlier in the week and have found that it works best on freshly styled hair!
• BED HEAD Oh Bee Hive! – This is so much more than a dry shampoo and falls in my top five favorites. It’s entirely matte and contains cornstarch so it absorbs on the spot. This dry shampoo does add texture to the hair for an added lift and I demonstrated that in my Instagram stories for you all. The body that it adds is incredible. There is zero weight to the hair…even after day 4 of living off of it. This is one of the top selling dry shampoos at Beauty Brands and it barley has time to live on the shelves.

Dry Shampoo hacks

If you are someone that is an every day hair washer you can train your hair to slow down on the overproduction of oil with dry shampoo!! Take each day at a time and you will get to where you want to be!

Put dry shampoo in the more oily parts of your hair at night before going to bed and really work it in. In the morning you may find that any production of oil is zero-little and may only need to touch up instead of overusing in the morning!

Dry shampoo is amazing on first day hair! It’ll add some fullness to your hair without the grit and also helps prevent you from getting super oily throughout the day!

If you have come to terms that dry shampoo will never work for you try applying the dry shampoo, working it in with your fingers real good, then taking a blow dryer to it!

If you’re a daily gym goer and have plans but don’t have time to wash your hair, apply dry shampoo around your hair line and the crown of your head to help! A little more may be needed after hitting the gym but I promise it won’t be as much!

Have issues with your bobby pins not staying in your hair? Spray a nice layer of dry shampoo on them and the spot on your hair you want to apply it! The dry shampoo will act as a glue and is guaranteed to stay 🙂
