my favorite ways to wear a hair scarf
I’m not sure who brought back bandanas, hair scarves, and scrunchies, but I love them for it!
A year ago when I was going through my childhood stuff I found all of my gymnastic scrunchies and am now so mad at myself for getting rid of them! I had some of the best scrunchies. Half of my stash were the prettiest velvet scrunchies and the other half were covered in sequins and rhinestones. This is why it’s so important to hold onto everything we own haha.
I have started to love the look of hair scarves so much that I truly wouldn’t be surprised if I started to wear one every day. I love how effortless they look and they totally finish off an outfit. In my case, I’m not the best when choosing accessories (I’m a single necklace and wedding ring kind of gal) and I totally consider these an accessory.
These are some favorites of mine and they’re all very reasonable!
My favorite way to wear the scarves is on day two or three after curling my hair. I’ll pull all my hair to one side and tie it off. It’s the absolute easiest and doesn’t require a mirror or hair ties.
Another go-to style is wearing a messy bun and using the hair scarf to hold my hair back like a headband. The scarf adds the perfect pop of color!
I love a good half pony but I’m not the biggest fan of them on me. A scarf or scrunchie looks so good against the hair and helps break up the pony form the rest of the hair.
This look is one of the classier looks I’ve done with a hair scarf. It is so easy! After making a pony and tying off the scarf you’ll separate the pony into three strands like doing a braid, except now you’ll also add the two scarfs into two of the braid strands and then braid like usual. To tie this off you can either leave some of the scarf out to tie it off or you can use a clear elastic. I usually just let it hang there until it falls out itself.
This has to be one of my favorite styles to do! I live in a messy bun! Make the bun to your desired bun size and then tie the scarf around it! it is that easy!!
