Finally decorating our walls with Desenio
Thank you to Desenio for sponsoring this post. All opinions and words are my own and thank you to each of you for allowing me to work with such amazing companies.
This post has been a long time coming. Not the partnership (lol), but finally getting around to decorating our walls. It’s been 6 years of living in this house. SIX YEARS! I have decor commitment issues hard core. The process has been tough because I just found my style. I’m finally ‘growing up’ with our decor which makes things coming together a little bit easier.
As I tackle the walls, I’m doing two rooms at a time. I highly recommend doing one room at a time but I have zero patience and have to do two things at once. Right now I’m working on our master bedroom and my closet/office space. I decided to go with prints rather than family photos because I wanted a more minimal feel in these areas. I also have dedicated areas in our home for our family photos that are more high traffic areas so the photos can be seen more often. I consider prints to be more of a space filler.
Now, moving onto being able to work with Desenio….it’s been an absolute dream. I’m still in disbelief that I found prints that not only fit my style but also my budget. Desenio is so budget friendly and makes decorating a room so easy! I find myself going to Desenio’s Instagram, website, and Pinterest for more than just print designs. I have gained so much inspiration from their images and it has me excited to take on future rooms.
As someone that really struggles with bringing a gallery wall to life, their website has been incredibly helpful. They have a tab called GALLERY WALL on their site that’s broken down further into categories (bedroom, entry way, kitchen, living room, etc.) that is nothing but pages of images of gallery wall layouts. The images cater to many sizes and room layouts and it’s just really helpful.
I went with prints that were a little more neutral in our bedroom and am going with a fashion theme in my closet/office room. Their print selection though is insane. Whatever you are looking for, they have it. Aside from prints they also have frames, picture ledges, picture mats, poster hangers, and more. It truly is a one-stop-shop print site. I’ve only ever gotten the natural wood frames and so far I love them!
Desenio was kind enough to give me a code for you all to snag some prints for 25% off with code: KENDRA25 you can shop through this link here.
The sale goes through April 17 – April 20th
(excludes frames, personalized/hand picked prints)
I’m no pro at creating a gallery wall and am in no place to be giving advice, but I made it so much easier on myself form the beginning doing these few things. First off, Command Strip photo tabs. How have I just discovered them?! If you have never used them they act as velcro and it’s a lifesaver when wanting to change frames out. Secondly, spray paint. I have stressed over finding certain metal frames within my budget with how popular they are right now. Spray paint is cheap and I can get nice basic frames at Walmart for next to nothing and get an amazing turn out. Lastly, laying the prints out ahead of time to decide on a pattern. It’s so easy and anyone can figure that out but I make things difficult and somehow made it twice as hard as what it would’ve been.
As I add more gallery walls to our home I will be room reveals. I’m hoping to get my closet/office room done within the next few weeks and I’m so excited for it!
