5 favorite protein bars
Protein bars are my new thing. I keep them in my purse, the diaper bag, the car, and at work. We have a super small pantry cabinet with three shelves and one is filled entirely with protein bars. I’m also not one to have back ups of snacks but I buy back ups for my back ups lol. We are that obsessed. They are the easiest on-the-go snack when I really don’t want to stop and spend $8 on a healthy smoothie. Protein bars are super filling and are also way more yummy than what I remember them being when I was younger.
The brands and flavors of protein bars are totally killing it today because there’s more flavor and less grit. Here are my absolute favorite top five protein bars that I keep fully in stock at all times! They are all gluten-free and higher in protein. Also, I managed to find two Laken approved protein bars for littles that I love giving her when we’re out and about.
Perfect Bar
These are the newest craze all over social media and I can totally see why. The Perfect Bar needs to be kept in the refrigerator and is a little more on the pricey side, but sooo worth it.
A box of 8 is $24 and a box of the minis is 20 for $26.
They come in 12 different flavors but the peanut butter is my all time favorite.
RXBAR
These are one of my favorite bars because you can see everything that is in it right on the front of the packaging. RXBAR all contain 3-4 ingredients in each bar and are also dairy and soy free.
A box of 12 is $25.99.
They have 14 flavors to choose from and have the seasonal Pumpkin Spice available online.
They also sell nut butters and Kids RXBARs.
Zone Perfect
There are a few different types of Zone Perfect nutrition bars but I’ve only ever had the regular zone perfect nutrition bars because my Target doesn’t sell the high protein ones.
They have 13 different flavors.
These are also the most reasonable with a 10 pack being $8.99.
Zone Perfect also has revitalize bars for mental focus and bars for kids.
ThinkThin
I have been eating these bars for over a year. thinkThin bars are my favorite to travel with! They keep really well when smashed in the bottom on the bag lol.
Price wise they are really reasonable with a box of 5 bars being $6.29.
They have 10 different flavors.
They also sell kids bars which I talk more about below!
Kind
Kind bars are super popular everywhere. They are decently priced and I love how filling these are. I eat these the most out of all these bars. The Breakfast is my absolute favorite of all the Kind bars.
At Target you can get a box of 4 for $2.50 making these the most affordable of all the bars.
The breakfast bars come in two flavors but they have a very wide selection of flavors in the regular bars.
Protein bars for myself are amazing but protein bars for kids is a total game changer!! These two are my absolute favorite for Laken. She is super picky on snacks and always wants fruit strips or gold-fish and I’d rather give her something more filling. Both of these bars are also gluten-free and contain minimal ingredients.
LARABAR
Laken has a major sweet tooth and brownies are her favorite so I had a feeling she would love these and they really are pretty good!
They come in chocolate brownie and chocolate mint brownie.
They are reasonably priced with a 6 count box being $3.99 but they are usually always on sale for $3 at Target.
thinkKIDS
These are Laken’s favorite. She likes that they look exactly like my bars and feels like a big girl.
They come in 3 different flavors.
The price is pretty reasonable, too with a box of 5 bars being $3.49.
