family pictures

This past Sunday we finally got around to taking family pictures. These are just a few of the dozens we took. They are my absolute favorite & I am obsessed!!! When the photographer’s wife sent over the photos I was a sobbing mess. Literally. I called Kyler while he was at work & could not help but cry because they were so beautiful. We had plans on getting family pictures done in September for Laken’s first birthday & making them her official ‘one year’ pictures, but have had the worst of luck with finding a day he didn’t work (send him all your love because he sometimes works three weeks straight). Between that & wedding planning & everyone wanting to get their Christmas card pictures taken it’s been tough.

So I am super picky when it comes to pictures. I probably looked through 50 local (Lawrence, KS) photographers looking at the quality & the angles or the way they’d edit a photo. I had a editing style in my mind & they nailed it. I also like reaching out to photographers that I personally know or know of. I think it makes everything go by way smoother & it’s a lot more comforting knowing your pictures are in good hands.

We used K+H Rogg Photography! Kenton & Hannah are husband & wife living in Manhattan, Kansas, & are the absolute sweetest. They were super quick to take pictures with everything being on Laken time. Laken is a total sass pants & they were beyond amazing with her, despite having to chase her around & bribe her with pretzels lol. We did a thirty minute session for both of our sakes & it was perfect! We can’t wait to use them for future pictures.
