Fall fashion with ThredUP at Gordmans
Fall fashion is my absolute favorite of all the seasons! The outfit choices are absolutely endless and the actual shopping can be endless too! I am an over shopper to the max the second sweaters hit the shelves and the only thing that really keeps me from going crazy is going broke. I know for a fact I’m not the only one that is this way either haha.
When Gordmans reached out to me asking if I wanted to work with them during their fall collaboration with ThredUP I jumped at the opportunity! If you don’t know what ThredUP is, it’s one of the largest online consignment and thrift stores. I have bought a few pieces from ThredUP over the years when I’ve been looking for that perfect item and they have yet to fail me. The best part about ThredUP is that whatever you buy, just know it is always in excellent condition. They are pretty picky about what they choose to sell and want to make sure it looks like it’s fresh off the rack! Easily making ThredUP my absolute favorite secondhand store.
If you didn’t know, you can also sell your unwanted clothing and accessories to ThredUP!!!! If you go to their website at thredup.com and click CLEAN OUT they will send you a very large bag that already has a shipping label attached for you to fill and send back! They do all the work for you! To make it even better…you get a small commission or shopping credit for each item they accept! I’ve sold to ThredUP twice and am about to send in two more bags.
Now that we’ve covered what ThredUP is, it’s easy to see why I jumped at the opportunity. Select Gordmans have the in store collaboration with ThredUP and if you want to see if the Gordmans near you has it you can check it out here at www.gordmans.com/thredup. This is also the first Gordmans X ThredUP collaboration and I’m really hoping they have a good turn out so it stays! They are constantly getting new shipments in Gordmans stores every week so what you see one week will be completely different the next!
I was invited to visit their little ThredUP pop up and to find some pieces to share with you all! This was so much fun for me as I had absolutely no idea what to expect. Of course I knew what they had online but going in not knowing what you’re going to find adds a lot of excitement! I was blown away by the brand selection they had! I saw so much Zara, Free People, Rock Revival, BCBG, etc. They had literally everything covered in this small section! They had an area for athletic wear, cardigans, coats, dresses, jeans, skirts, scarves, handbags, jewelry, and my favorite section…sweaters!!
For all under $115 I walked away with three name brand tops and one jacket that I have been keeping an eye out for a while now. All are shown below!
This Zara cropped sweater ended up being $31.98
This BCBG MAXAZRIA sweater ended up being $34.98 – a total steal in my books
This American Eagle Top ended up being $17.98 – the tags were still on it
This Old Navy Jacket ended up being $19.98 (ignore the fuzzy on it in the photo. I wore it earlier that day in the car with a super fuzzy blanket lol)
I love the items that I chose. I have actually worn them a lot since getting them and so wish I was able to link them all for you because every single one of these items are ones I truly plan on keeping in my closet. Now lets get to how I styled them!!!
Up first, this BCBG sweater! I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS!!! OH MY GOSH! This sweater is probably one of the softest sweaters I have ever worn. I love the neck and the sleeves and the fit. It is absolutely perfect! I keep thinking of different items I’m going to pair it with and when it gets a little warmer you know darn well I’ll be paring it with a skirt and OTK boots.
The second time was this ZARA cropped fitted sweater. I love it with my skinny jeans and also plan on wearing it with faux leather leggings. I also loved pairing it with this denim jacket.
Lastly, the third and fourth items are the American Eagle Top and the Old Navy jacket that I had planned on pairing together from the beginning. I loved the detail on the top and the fit/detailing on the jacket was perfect.
*This post is sponsored by Gordmans with their collaboration with ThredUP. As always, all words are my own and I can’t thank you all enough for allowing me to work with such awesome companies/brands! 🙂
