Fall Fashion with Halls KC – what to expect this season
Thank you to Halls KC for sponsoring this post!
I’ll be honest when I say that I’ve never really considered myself to be super fashionable or on top of fashion trends. I love to buy trendy pieces, but I wear what I like and what’s comfortable and that’s always made more sense to me. With fall here I do feel the need to give my closet a little refresh with some new pieces and I was able to see a lot of what is up and coming recently at Halls!
Partnering with Halls has taught me SO much when it comes to fashion. I’ve been given the opportunity to attend a fashion show and really know how their buying process works when it comes to all the clothing. It’s amazing!!! It’s also very eye opening when it does come time to spice up your wardrobe per season change. The biggest thing i’ve taken from it is that I truly don’t need as many pieces as I like to think I need. Shocking haha!
I have some gorgeous photos below showing all the new designers that they’re featuring this fall and what’s in each collection. You’ll really see a trend with the neutrals and the textures. There’s also pops of colors in there (peep that lavender sweater)! Alyssa, one of the amazing stylists at Halls, gave me the grand tour of all the designers. It was super cool learning that these designer created their fall lines based off of what’s been happening in the world this last year. Comfort and casual were big and I’m sure you can tell from the pieces. These color palettes in each collection are absolutely dreamy. I love all the warm tones.
What I added to my closet
As for me, I’m just now staring to get into fall pieces. I’ve done a lot of shopping my closet and getting creative with what I have before getting caught up and over spending. I did do a little shopping at Halls and added two pieces to my wardrobe. I decided to go with one bold piece and one more casual piece. There are a couple more sweaters that I really want to get my hands on so I may go back and snags those!
The sweater I got is so perfect for me in this moment of life. I’ve been so in love with colors and I adore how lux this piece feels on. It’s by the designer STAUD and all their knits in the collection are beyond soft. If you happen to snag this in store, I ended up getting a small and feel like it’s both well-fitting and oversized.
These sleeves deserve a moment of their own! This basic white tee will honestly probably become a major staple in both my casual wear and work wear. This shirt is from the designer Generation Love. I was honestly so excited to see Halls carrying Generation Love because it was a familiar brand to me that I’ve seen at other retailers.
Of all the lines carried in Halls I would say that Generation Love is by far the most casual and basic of them all. By basic I mean very, very comfortable and versatile. They have sweatshirts with embelishments on them that can be dressed up or worn to lounge. It’s easy styling which is sometimes very nice! I decided to go up to a medium in this top and have already worn it a couple times styled different ways.
Halls Fall Fashion Event
Each year Halls puts on a big Fall Fashion event. This year the decided to go about it a different route to ensure everyone felt comfortable while shopping. They wanted it to be a little more low-key, with a big focus on these new designers. Their Fall Fashion event ends October 10th, so be sure to stop by before if you can. If you can’t get yourself in before the 10th just know that they’re having a sale happening shortly after! You can always stay up to day by following them on Instagram @hallskc.
