easy beauty tricks I’m kinda loving!
It’s like what, week seven of quarantine for me? I’m getting bored and a little bit lazy and could really use some highlights haha. Lately I’ve been experimenting with a few beauty things/trying new products that I’ve surprisingly come to love so I figured I’d round them up!
easy natural makeup with bronzer
I have been obsessing over a natural makeup look and have to so ditch the shadow and blush and just go in with a full on bronzer. I use bronzer for my shadow a lot! It’s be best “natural” look in my opinion. Instead of using bronzer for only the contour, I’ll also use it as a blush! You’re probably thinking that is a lot of bronzer and it can be. I use a more dense brush for the contour and then a large powder brush for the “blush”. I love how much more of a glow I have and even some of you have noticed!
adding lip color without full on lipstick
I love wearing lipstick but sometimes I just don’t want to wear it….but want it to look like I’m wearing it. You know? I take my favorite mauvey-nude lipstick (Charlotte Tilburry Pillow Talk or MAC Velvet Teddy) and I’ll lightly tap the lip color on the center of my bottom lip and on the cupids bow of my top lip. I tap the color on until there’s a visible difference between the center and sides. After, I’ll take my finger and just smudge it across my lips! It gives such a soft look and adds the perfect amount of color.
dressing up the lounge wear
I’m crazy for even sharing this but I love wearing gold hoops with hoodies! I’m talking about the chunky small gold hoops (these are the ones I wear daily) so they’re still comfortable. I’ve been wearing a lot of lounge sets and I like being able to pass a mirror and still feel a little put together. It’s been a long seven weeks and I’ll do just about anything to make me feel good!
blurring those roots with a root touch up spray
I’m to the point that I’m embarrassed to wear my hair up even on at home my roots are so bad. I was recently sent a root touch-up spray by R&Co (found here) and shared my first impression of it in my stories. I really like the spray and was impressed with the amount of color it gave with how dark my roots naturally are. I personally wouldn’t call it a root touch up, but it helped to blend that harsh line! I’ve been using it every day since on my part line and around my hair line.
brightening up my skincare
If you don’t have one, get one. You are missing out. I know I’m missing that extra bit of glow in my skin being at home and slacking on my skincare. I’ve been religiously applying a vitamin c serum day and night and my skin is thriving from it.
getting a gradual glow
It wasn’t until a months ago that I bought my first gradual tanning lotion. I am in love with. It’s so less work than applying an all over self tanner! Don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to use my self tanner on the reg but I love a quick fix.
keeping up with my nails
I have given up entirely on making sure my nails look good with polish or dip. I’ve honestly just been filing them and I feel so good! I give my cuticles a little love each week and it’s been very easy to keep up on. I cannot wait to get dip again though when I can.
easy cute lounge hair
Yes, this is a thing and it’s so easy. create a low messy bun and then pull out pieces from around your face. This gives it a little bit of a messy/cute look. To add some body to your low messy bun, hold onto the bun and then gently pull the hair up to give a lifted look without having to backcomb.
