DockATot
I am so excited to tell you all about DockATot and how much we love it. Considering it was one of those baby items I always wanted and I had at the top of my list, I’m beyond thrilled to be telling you all about our love for it. I wanted one for so long but at the time I kept pushing the need for one further down on my list. And then the older Laken got the more I kept telling myself she didn’t really need it. I didn’t realize how much I did need it until Laken started using it every single day and I started noticing a difference in her sleep. I honestly couldn’t imagine another day without our DockATot Grand, we love it that much!
Other than it being the most comfortable lounger ever (I may have taken a nap or two in it). It’s saved us so many fits and tears. Nap time is now a dream! Laken is a wild woman and if we let her, she would go days without sleeping. She is so resistant to it! Since getting our DockATot she has taken one to two naps a day, with her first nap lasting up to 3 hours (hallelujah) and the second being a nice power nap. When she gets really tired she’ll drag the DockATot from room to room. It’s the cutest!
If you haven’t read my previous blog post, Laken has officially been upgraded to her ‘big girl’ bed. She started crawling out of her crib so we put up the bed railing to where she can now go in and out of her bed as she pleases without hurting herself. Well, in that transition, she has become a little more attached to Kyler and I and has started sleeping in our bed. Don’t get me wrong, I love sleeping so close to our babe but I truly don’t want this to be a habit. We started sleep training Laken to want to be in the DockATot with nap time with the intent for this transition to be easy on her and easy on us. As of right now we have it right next to her bed to where when she crawls out of bed in the middle of the night she is standing in her DockATot. We’re hoping that when she realizes that she’s standing in the DockATot she’ll want to fall back asleep. These past few days have been wonderful. Fingers crossed I don’t jinx myself on this.
The DockATot isn’t just a place for our babes to sleep either. It’s a multi-functional lounger, a play lounger, a place to read all the books, and of course the perfect place cuddle with her alpaca…which you can see down below;)
We ended up getting the DockATot Grand in White. The Grand is recommended for babies 9 months to 36 months while the Deluxe+ is recommended for babies newborn to 8 months. I’m already looking forward to getting a DockaTot Deluxe+ when we have our second baby. They have so many other fun colors and patterns to choose from, too. The casing is washable so it’s easy to clean up any spills. Since taking the chance on having the white DockATot I know this will come in handy! Along with that they have covers for the DockATot with even more pattern/color options!
For you mommas asking about if it’s safe…absolutely! DockATot was tested for breathability (for more information you can click here) and is OEKO-TEX Certified meaning the material has been tested and approved. The material is all natural and 100% cotton making it super soft.
You can shop DockATot here! 🙂
Now what you’ll see in the picture below is how the bottom is buckled together…When your little ones are in it you are supposed to have the bottom of the DockAtot open. I fight Laken on keeping it open haha. If it’s mean to be buckled she will make sure it’s buckled. I pick my battles and this is not one of them lol.
*We were so graciously gifted our DockATot Grand but all words our my own. Thank YOU for making it possible for me to work with the companies that I love!
