Chloe’s cottage Room Makeover
*Thank you to Poster Store for collaborating with me to achieve the cottage core wall mural. I don’t receive any commission from the links provided to the Poster Store. All thoughts and words are my own and in no way affiliated with Poster Store.
When I asked Chloe what kind of art she wanted in her room, her response was “lots of flowers”. Easy enough! I had this whole soft whimsical vision for art and was thrilled when I found everything on Poster Store!
While I want this room to be the most magical place ever for Chloe, I don’t want it to look too grown up for a five year old. I thought going about the art in more of a ‘painted’ style would really help to soften the space and I’m all the heart eyes for how it turned out. All the art was chosen on a greater scale and the quality of the prints look so realistic! Mixing up the frame styles and textures really helped to elevate the space as well. It’s a beautiful mixture of her with a touch of me.
I planned to go as budget friendly as I possibly could with the gallery wall because photos aren’t always a forever when it comes to decor. However, I didn’t want to sacrifice the quality of the art going into her room. As for the frames, I thrift quite a few of them for mere dollars and either spray paint or rub-n-buff to get the look. A majority of these frames also from Poster Store (they have the best basic wood frames), but in general I like to look at World Market for unique frames. It’s pretty easy recycling frames throughout a home.

If you’ve followed me along on social media or have kept up with my blog, you may have seen me share a bit about the brand Desenio. The Poster Store is actually a sister company to Desenio and offers prints ranging from 5×7 to 28×39! I’ve had wonderful experiences with both companies and cannot reccomend them enough for home prints. I have previous posts with their art linked below if you want to check them out!
