Celebrating Galentine’s Day at Legends Outlets
Thank you to Legends Outlet for sponsoring this post.
If you’re unfamiliar with Legends Outlets you should totally take a weekend day to go out and walk around. Legends Outlets is located in Kansas City and is full of outlet stores for the family. They have added so many stores and restaurants this last year and even added a huge family fun outdoor center. Legends is one of our favorite places to go as a family for shopping and food.
Now back to our Galentine’s Day activities! My sister and I decided to get all our shopping done first and then enjoy ourselves with nails and dinner. If you want to see a little behind the scenes, you can click here to go to my Instagram to watch us go store to store, or you can read all about it below!
The first store my sister and I went to was Baldwin. They are on the pricer side so I loved that the outlet is finally in Legends. Baldwin is known for their denim and minimalist style. If you are looking for good basics I highly recommend checking them out! I walked out with the most beautiful coat and get this…I got it on sale for $99 while it’s original price was $645. I still can’t get over how soft this coat is!
My sister mentioned how she wanted a new leather wallet so we went to the Michael Kors Outlet, the Kate Spade Outlet, and the Coach Outlet. This was actually the first time I had been into all three because I’m usually with my husband and daughters and these stores are definitely ones I want to take my time in..without them haha. I was shocked by their selection. Any high brand outlet store I’ve been to had always been filled with out-of-season items or leftovers of what didn’t sell. This was far from that! Kate Spade stuck out the most to me because they had a whole wall full of new, in-style handbags and accessories.
The sales at these stores were incredible and if you’re looking to spoil someone without breaking budget you will for sure be able to find something to match your price point.
After that we decided to hit up the Nike Factory Store to look at the tennis shoes. I wasn’t able to find any that I loved but did walk away with the cutest leopard Nike top. I wasn’t able to find a link as this top is only available in the Nike Factory Stores but there were plenty of sized left when I looked.
While we’re talking about looking for shoes my absolute favorite places to buy shoes in Legends is at Off Broadway and Rack Room Shoes. My husband has super big feet and the only place he’s been able to find shoes in his size is at Off Broadway. He loves their sneaker and dress shoe options. Rack Room Shoes is where I’ve found some of my favorite booties for the winter and a few of the pairs I own have lasted me years.
H&M was our last stop before getting our nails done and we hit the jackpot there. It has been a long time since I’ve gone to an H&M and I forgot how affordable their clothing is. I was able to snag a few sweaters that I can transition into spring, as well as some basic t-shirts that are always $4.99. I and even picked out some leggings for my little one from the H&M kids section. Which by the way, if you’re expecting a little boy or have a little boy, their boys section is the cutest I’ve ever seen. My sister actually found a ‘leather’ jacket that looked super similar to one that she previously owned and it was so cute!!
I would say our shopping was a total success. Weekends are super busy at the Legends and if you want some nice peace and quite while shopping I highly recommend going during the day or even the evening. As a family we usually go no weekends and love the atmosphere but there have been a few times my husband and I will go during a week day just us two and it’s such a nice date night. A few other stores that we didn’t get to but are part of my usual visits are: Old Navy Outlet, JCrew Factory, American Eagle Outfitters, and Express Factory Outlet.
Legends Outlets has two major shops for beauty needs. Nails So Happy is a nail salon and also where my sister and I got our mani/pedis together. They also have Beauty Brands Salon and Spa there! I will be honest and say I’m a little partial to Beauty Brands because I am a stylist there and I love the company. Beauty Brands also offers hair services and has 10k+ products to choose from!
I can’t say enough good things about Nails So Happy though. This was the first time my sister and I had ever gone and the nail techs we had were so sweet! The little shop was super clean and I walked out with one of the best gel manicures I’ve ever had.
After nails we went to Granite City, which happens to be one of my favorite restaurants to go to. Totally off topic, but their Sunday brunch is out of this world. My phone died at this point so I wasn’t able to snag any videos of our food but I was able to snag a quick picture of the menu.
My go-to meal is the French Onion Soup and I always order the Spinach & Artichoke Dip.
My sister and I decided to go crazy on appetizers and try a little bit of everything instead of going for a meal and that was such a good decision. A few things we ended up ordering were the truffle fries, the spinach and artichoke dip, and the fiery buffalo cauliflower wings. We both agreed that the buffalo cauliflower wings are a new favorite of ours. I also got a white wine and my sister got a cranberry mojito. It was such a good dinner!
I have worked with Legends Outlets a few times and I love being able to work with them because I genuinely love go there. Living in Lawrence we don’t have a whole lot of shopping areas and Legends hits everyone in our family and never has us leaving empty handed. Over the years I’ve watched more and more be built/added and it’s so cool. Most recently they added their little ‘park’ area and it’s so cool. The landscape all throughout is so pretty and I have always felt safe there. They also have a ton of perfect picture opportunities! 😉 Thank you to Legends Outlets for sponsoring this post.
