my new found Love for Bumble and bumble
You all know how much I love hair products. I am the ultimate hair product junkie. I have bins overflowing with hair care! I know as a reader it’s not ideal to see someone say they love a new product every month and I’m not that type of person to go from product to product. Very seldom will I write a whole post about a new product line I try out so this is the real deal haha. I want to really make sure that I love a product before sharing it with you all! I will leave a product sitting out on my bathroom counter for months before testing it out because I am so picky. I have my tried and true products that I will always go back to after trying something new! With that being said, these Bumble and Bumble products have made their way into my favorites and will forever have a place in my bathroom! I love them that much!
I remember first seeing Bumble and Bumble in private salons before they sold to big retail stores (Beauty Brands, Sephora & Ulta). I am super late to the join the Bumble and Bumble train but there wasn’t really any part in me that wanted to go out of my way to try their products. The salon I work in recently got the Bumble and Bumble line in so I took that as my reason to finally give their line a try! So far I have only used their dry shampoo, their scalp detox, the invisible oil, and the creme de coco shampoo and conditioner. And so far I am hooked!
I took the shampoo and conditioner to Jamaica with me. I knew I’d be in and out of the sea/pool and having highlighted hair doesn’t mix well with salt and chlorine. I figured using these against my ratty dry sea hair would be the ultimate test to see if I’d love these products or not. I love them haha! The creme de coco shampoo and conditioner smells heavenly. Both the shampoo and conditioner are for dry/coarse hair and are made of tropical oils and butters for rich moisture. My hair recently has been on the damaged/dry side and I need all the help I can get. You can get the shampoo here and the conditioner here.
This next product is the bumble and bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil. I took this on the trip purely for the moisture part. This product is totally a lazy girl hack because it’s a heat/uv protective primer that also works as a leave-in treatment. There aren’t as many benefits as what a normal leave-in treatment gives but it is enough to leave a noticeable difference. What’s really cool about this oil is that it sprays out creamy like a leave-in and can be sprayed on the hair wet or dry. The smell is super subtle and mixed very nicely with the creme de coco shampoo set I’m using. This product is made for dry to very dry hair and I know sometimes that can be a warning for this will leave your hair greasy if you don’t have dry hair. My hair is pretty normal except for that I have a lot of it and I would only think you’d feel like it was greasy if you had super fine thin hair. You can find the Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil here.
I really put everything to the test with this Jamaica trip! I gave the Bumble and bumble Scalp Detox a try the day we got back. If you’ve never heard of a scalp detox, it’s very similar to a cleansing shampoo that helps remove product buildup. However, this one is a foam, which has you focusing at the scalp instead of all of our hair. The foaming detox cleanses with micellar water which is pretty much the dry shampoo for our skin. I overused the heck out of this product thinking I would need more than what’s recommended because I have so much hair. You definitely don’t need a much as you think you do! Even overusing it there was no greasy or filmy residue left. My hair was very soft and even had more lift to it at the roots. All you ladies that use the strongest holding hairspray, a root spray, volume powder, and a leave in wax, this is for you! This product is made for all scalp types and you can find it here!
You’d be crazy to think I would share a new hair care line without trying and telling you all about their dry shampoo!! It’s no secret how much I loveeeee dry shampoo. You all know my favorite is the Khlorane Dry shampoo and the Bumble and bumble prêt-à-powder très invisible dry shampoo is snuggling its way right next to it. This dry shampoo literally feels like there is nothing there, which is amazing for when you just want the dry shampoo and no added texture. It shoots out super fine and leaves absolutely no residue. Hallelujah for all my dark-haired girls out there! Now, it doesn’t leave any texture feel but it is a 2-in-1 style extender. It cleanses and lightly volumizes from roots to ends. Hello extra body without the gritty feel! This dry shampoo is also UV protective which is a must the older we get. Our hair ages just like our skin does and this baby will be added to my diaper bag for when I’m out in the sun for a quick spray down. You can find the dry shampoo here.
