Breaking out the cashmere scarf + OOTD breakdown
Can you spot my Photoshop fail?! I’ll give you a hint… between my boots! I had a few minutes to spare before the rain really came down to snap these pictures, and didn’t realize until after that there was a large pile of mud between my boots. Just my luck haha. I’m not skilled in Photoshop and really only got it to make graphics for my blog. I literally YouTube searched maybe 30 minutes ago how to remove spots in the background. Still very much so a newbie!
Anywho……..I FINALLY GOT TO BREAK OUT MY CASHMERE SCARF!!!!!! I got this scarf during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale earlier this year and it has so very prettily been folded in my closet since. Surely I can’t be the only one that gets really overwhelmed when wearing a scarf so it has to be a really cool day for me to want to break them out.
Scarves are that accessory that I’m really picky about buying! I went through a phase years ago of quantity over quality and honestly had close to 30 scarves. I got rid of all but three, and those were all plaid. As I rebuild all of my clothing accessories back up I’m officially on team quality other than quantity and am all about adding items that become staples.
This scarf is the Halogen Cashmere Scarf in the color Tan Indochine Heather. The scarf is $149 and hardly ever goes on sale so during the sale when it was on sale for $79 I absolutely had to snag it up. At the time of the sale they only had the Tan Indochine Heather and the Pink Rosecloud Heather available, but now they have 5 colors available and I’m really crossing my fingers this scarf is on sale next year too. I really want to scoop up the Grey Medium Heather scarf for next fall. I would normally never spend this much on a scarf but it is a huge scarf and it’s so freaking soft and on the thinner side so I don’t feel like I’m wearing this thick blanket around my neck.
This top is another find that I got during the Anniversary Sale that I’ve been waiting all year to wear! It’s the Leith Henley Woven Shirt and I’m wearing a size small and would say it fits very TTS. I’m not a huge fan of shirts with collars but this one fits so nicely that I hardly even notice it’s there. The back of the shirt is more loose and the front looks super cute tucked in or hanging loose. I can no longer find this top on the site but it was less than $50 and all of the Leith line tops are made from similar material and all near $50 or less.
I’ve been getting asked a lot about the jeans I wear because they’re literally in every single photo and they are the Simone High Rise from Abercrombie! They are the jean leggings so they have a lot of stretch to them and wear nicely a few days a in a row. I look for that in jeans because I think washing them fades the color over time and in high-rise skinnies I prefer my wash a little darker. Right now Abercrombie is having buy one get one 50% off on all of their jeans and the Simone always sell out! I’m wearing my normal size 26 and they’re more tts. I’m actually going to be doing a whole blog post over denim so be so the lookout for that within the next few weeks!
The shoes are also something I got from the Anniversary Sale and it was one of my favorite purchases by far! They are the Sam Edelman Caprice Knee-High Boots and every blogger has them for a reason! They have a thicker heel to them but are so incredibly comfy and fit TTS as well! These boots have been on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale the past few years and go from their regular $149.90 to around $90-$100. These shoes are my second child I love them so much. I even have them displayed in my closet. Just slightly obsessed 😉
