American Eagle try-on haul

Woohoo for my first official in store try on haul!! I so badly wanted to do videos for my Instagram stories but I was terrified to talk so pictures it is lol. I also had my door knocked on at least 3 times in a 30 minute period making sure I was okay because I was taking so long haha. Baby steps!! Yesterday I went to Nordstrom’s, Nordstrom’s Rack, and American Eagle. I’m going to cover American Eagle first for you all, because I hit the store at the perfect time and then will have Nordstrom’s try on haul up on black friday to allow me more time to find good sales for you all at Nordstrom’s and Nordstrom’s Rack!

The signage said Holiday 40% off but when I asked they said that really the entire store was 40% off. That 40% off made for some incredible deals and I really can’t wait to share them. The sale is extended through black friday and you get free shipping!!!! WOOHOO!!!

I first want to apologize for the quality of these photos. They just redid our American Eagle and it looks amazing but the dressing room lighting is terrible. I tried my best editing the photos and no matter where I stood I had the harsh light on me. Secondly, I want to say that I truly wasn’t all that impressed with all that they had to offer. They did have some super cute items but everything fit very differently. I didn’t mind my size fluctuating because all that truly matters is the fit, but when I go from a xs in one thing and the next I really need a xxl, you know somethings a little off. I don’t want to talk negatively of American Eagle and that isn’t my intention. I more-so want to make it aware that I struggled finding a size that fit and don’t want anyone else to feel discouraged if they have the same issue!

The first item I tried on was a flannel which happens to be the only item not 40% off because all flannel is marked for $25! There are 7 choices of flannel on the women’s side and 20 choices for the men! This flannel was seriously one of the softest flannels I’ve ever worn. I sized up to a medium because I’m a little more broad in the shoulders but would say that it fits very TTS.

Everything from here to the end is all 40% off!

The next item was this sherpa that I also posted about on instagram. The second I saw it in store I knew I had to have it. It’s labeled as a cardigan, has pockets and a hood, and is so soft! It’s officially my new house blanket. I’m wearing a size xs/s and would say it runs big! I’m normally a small in most tops and can still fit a bulky sweater under this comfortably. The 40% off makes this item around $41.

This sweater was incredibly soft but runs extremely small. I would recommend going up a size or even two depending on how cozy you want it to be.

This top was a favorite of mine! I could not get a picture of it on that did justice for all the detail with the lighting. It is very fitted through the mid section. The small fit me well but I would probably go up to a medium for a little more give through my mid section.

I absolutely loved this shirt! I didn’t get it because I wanted some time to think if I really needed it and I think I’ll be getting it online today! It comes in two colors and I’m wearing my normal small. It’s TTS!

This sweatshirt is super cute for holiday parties or just staying cozy! This was one of the items I was a little discouraged on because I’m currently wearing a size L and don’t feel like it’s cozy enough for me so I recommend going wayyy up. I think an XL would’ve done the trick for me.

Something else I’m super disappointed in is that about 5 items I tried on are not linked on the site. They aren’t sold out but are absolutely nowhere to be found on the site. So this try-on session would’ve been much longer than what it was. I have some other favorites linked below and as always, you can just click on the photo to shop and it will take you directly to the item on the site!
