All about the MIRROR
I don’t think I have ever been so excited to share something. It totally helps that this is by far of one of the coolest things ever. But I think the fact that I’m actually enjoying working out is what has me the most excited.
I do have a code for you all that is at the end of the post, so if that’s all you’re here for, just scroll on down and I have it in bold print! Otherwise I want to do everything I can to inform all of you about the Mirror and give my honest review.
my why + my review
My biggest why is my safety, my children’s safety, and our budget.
I’ve openly shared how much I’ve wanted to do pilates, and yoga, and learn barre. I also love running and cardio. The negative on both of those is that going to a studio that does barre, yoga, or pilates is really expensive (like stupid expensive)! The issue with running and cardio is that I have two little babies that I have to think of, and daycare at gyms isn’t always an option. I could totally go running outside and it’s sad I even have to say this, but I don’t feel safe going by myself and I most certainly am not okay with putting my babies at risk if anything were to happen. Making half of our basement a little gym was an option and we may still someday do that, but again that’s expensive and our basement isn’t finished to where Kyler and I are okay with leaving them upstairs while we’re down stairs working out. Excuses, excuses…right? haha
Since having the mirror installed I have been able to workout right next to my babies and I feel safe. I’m in the comfort in my own home working out on my time. Just earlier this week as I was doing my barre workout, I had both the girls asleep in the bed next to me. I had to pause mid way through my workout to put a pacifier back in Chloe’s mouth and it was just a good feeling being able to be there for the girls and also being able to focus on myself.
Price was the biggest thing for us because we wanted our money’s worth. We’ve added up what it would cost for a monthly gym membership on top of my monthly barre classes and it was over $200 a month, making that over $2,400 a year. There’s one monthly fee with the Mirror and we’re able to choose between 12 different class types. TWELVE!!!!
My honest review on this is that I wish we would’ve gotten it sooner! I have never had this much determination and drive to want to do something so bad. I honeslty have zero drive when it comes to workouts because I don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve started working out twice a day because the classes go by fast and I’m comfortable being able to try something new that I normally wouldn’t in fear of being made fun of. My absolute favorite part about the Mirror is that it looks just like a mirror. The possibilities on where to put this in your house are truly endless. We have the Mirror in our bedroom and use it as our every day full length mirror. It takes up less space than our previous full length mirror and looks pretty in our room. The biggest reason I love it so much is that it works for us. It works in the little open space we have and it works in our busy lives.
what is the Mirror
Other than being quite the best invention ever, the Mirror is the future of fitness. I mean how cool is it to be able to choose from 12 different class types, the length of the class, and the intensity level all from an app on your phone and then workout one-on-one with a trainer?! (Have I sold you on this yet? haha.)
The Mirror is a full length mirror that can either be hung on the wall or placed on a stand. We have ours on the stand because it’s current spot isn’t permanent. It’s very heavy so you don’t have to worry about bumping into it and it falling over, but it comes with wall anchors if it’s placed in a high traffic area and you just want to be safe.
The mirror has an on/off switch located on the bottom of the mirror and has to be within six feet of an outlet. Through the MIRROR app you’re able to control the entire mirror by connecting to its wifi.
There area 12 available classes that can be adjusted to your preferred intensity level of 1, 2, and 3. The length of the class can also be chosen, ranging from 15 minutes to 45 minutes. You can also join live classes that are available every day each hour to every half-hour. The classes are also available to you 24 hours a day. Here are all the available classes:
Cardio
Strength
Yoga
Barre
Stretch
Pilates
Dance
Chair
Prenatal/Postnatal
Toning
Boxing
Kick Boxing
the price + what all comes with it
So the price of the mirror itself is $1,495. That does not include tax or the delivery fee or the additional $39 monthly subscription, which I’ll touch base on next.
What is included in the mirror is:
the starter kit (resistance bands)
a heart rate monitor
the care kit
the wall mount & stand
the app
To have access to all the classes is $39 monthly. I know that sounds like a lot on top of purchasing the mirror itself, but that includes those 12 different types of classes, all of the levels, live classes, and access 24/7. What sold me on this $39 monthly price was that my one monthly barre membership would be $175 and it would be just barre. I wouldn’t be able to incorporate the cardio and other stuff. Kyler wants to do boxing and that would be an additional $88 per month. Right there with those two we’re already over $250. Add the gas that it takes to drive there and it adds up. $39 for twelve classes verses the $250 sounds a lot better to me.
Mirror also offers Affirm for payment if the $1,495 isn’t in your budget right now. There’s no interest with Affirm and you can choose to pay it off within 12, 24, or 36 months.
I do have a code for you all which will save you over $350 .
