20 things I’m bringing into 2020
Now that I’m officially over my social media hiatus, I’m back and feel better than ever! That two week break was incredible and just what I needed to refresh and test out new goodies for myself and you all.
I decided I would make a list of 20 things I’m bringing into 2020. Some things are tried and true, some are new favorites, some are goals, and some are items that I think everyone would love. I will be doing a separate post all about my goals for the year and will probably make it more of a mood board. Murphy’s law is a thing and I think putting my goals out in the universe will make them become even more of a reality!
Hope you all had a wonderful New Years and happy 2020!
I have been wanting to try new moisturizers and I received this one as a sample a few months back. I ran out of my normal one and decided to give this a try. I ended up ordering the full size because I loved it so much. It smells amazing and instantly has my skin glowing. It’s extremely light weight and applies very thick. The large bottle sells for $39.
2. Sol De Janeiro – Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
This item was a splurge for me last year that I got during the Sephora sale. I purchased the large one ($45) and received the small one ($20) as a gift and I keep the small one in my bag and the other on my bathroom counter. The cream is said to help tighten and smooth the skin. That’s a wonderful bonus but I got it because it was an item that always sells out each sale.
3. Arbonne Fizz Sticks
I have actually used these for over a year and have one a day around the time I get super tired. Coffee doesn’t do it for me and I’m not a big pop drinker. These are like little energy sticks and they have helped me a lot.
Yes, I am still an Arbonne Consultant and if you want to purchase them you can do so here and search “fizz sticks”.
4. Pampas Grass
There is something so pretty about pampas grass. I’m actually in the process of ordering a ton from different sellers on Etsy and other sites to compare quality and price so I can give you all the run-down. I have some styled in almost every room and love how much they add to a space. The one I have linked is from a seller on Etsy I have purchased from before.
5. barefoot dreams blanket
Our family fights over the two blankets that we have. This blanket is the biggest unnecessary splurge but totally necessary once you have it. I have both the small and the larger blankets and we use them to death.
6. fuzzy slippers
If you know me you know I would rather go barefoot everywhere. I hate shoes so having a pair of slippers that I want to wear is crazy. These slippers feel like a literal cloud and they’re only $23 on amazon!
7. wet brush
I’m not much a hairbrush snob but I do think everyone needs one of these. I highly recommend this brush for little ones and if you have damage. This brush is super gentle and doesn’t hurt/tug. It’s the only hairbrush that Laken will let me use on her too. We have about four Wet Brushes in our back stock.
Mascara primer
If you still aren’t using a lash primer before applying mascara you are missing out. This is one item I could not get enough of in 2019. A mascara primer is typically white and conditions the lashes all while making them appear more full and super long. My all time favorite is this one from Estee Lauder but this one from Tarte Cosmetics is significantly cheaper and just as good.
9. The Home Edit
Okay. Here me out on this one. Yes, it’s a book about organizing, but it’s everything I never knew I needed. I have learned a ton from this book on working with the space I have and displaying/organizing my items that make sense. There are even kitchen container labels in the back!
10. Shark floor Steamer
Every single person need a floor steamer. There is nothing like finishing up deep cleaning with fresh floors. We have tile in our kitchen and it blows my mind how much dirt gets lifted out. This one is from Amazon and is extremely affordable.
11. clothes de piller
This has come in handy for so many things! I use it the most on my leggings and sweaters but it’s awesome for our couches and some bedding that we have!
12. clothing steamer
This is something I never knew I needed. I no longer have to get out the ironing board and iron. Now I just plug in my steamer and can do it just a bout anywhere! For the few trips I have been on this year, it’s been amazing!
13. Prime Pantry
I have to laugh at this one because it has taken me so dang long to jump on board. I have used Prime Pantry through Amazon Prime for a few months now and its life changing. I have been able to get so many home good items (food, cleaners, home items, etc.) so much cheaper than in the store! There are a ton of items that we subscribe to and save on.
14. Huggie Hoops
I have been wearing these huggie hoops from Kendra Scott for months now. They’ve become my go-to because they go with everything. I like that they’re simple and still feel on trend.
15. Stasher Bags
I purchased two of these reusable silicone bags quite a while ago and we use them non-stop and for everything! I’m doing everything I can to be more eco-friendly and getting rid of single use plastic bags is okay with me! The silicone bags can be put in the microwave, the dishwasher, and freezer. I’ve taken meals to work that have to be heat up in them and we put all the snacks we can in them. I highly recommend.
16. Shopping my closet
I’m going to enforce this a lot! This year I’m taking a step back from always wanting to buy to restyling what I have! I have a lot of clothes and its exhausting always buying new so I’m excited to bring this into 2020.
17.Cold Plunge Pore Mask
More people need to know about this face mask because it is hands down the most soothing one I’ve used. It goes on cold and feels so dang good! It’s the prettiest blue color and I use it about once a week!
18. Podcasts
I’m a huge podcast gal but I want to be even more this year. My current two favorites are The Skinny Confidential Him & Her and Straight Up With Stassi.
19. Learn 12 new things
I have a friend that has encouraged me to try something new each month and I’m very excited to bring that into this year and share everything new I learn with you all!
20. To live by my favorite quote.
I have had this quote as a favorite of mine for years. I’m not someone that likes asking for help or likes to go out of my comfort zone, but in order to succeed I have to. It’s challenging but worth it.
