12 Days of Beauty: Day 9 – facial exfoliators
Happy day 9 of my Twelve Days of Beauty!!! I cannot believe Christmas is in 5 days. I’m officially done wrapping presents and now all I need to do is clean the house for when we come back home! There are 3 days left of my Twelve Days of Beauty and there’s still time to enter to win the T3 Singlepass Curling Iron. Head to this post to see all the rules!
Today’s post is all about facial exfoliators! I have three different kinds to share with you all that hit different price ranges and all do different things! If you’ve been following me for a while on here or on my Instagram then you would know how much I’ve been struggling with acne. More recently I’ve been struggling with it on my cheeks which is very new to me and I absolutely hate it. All three of these exfoliators play a crucial role in my skincare and it might be excessive to use so many but when you find a product that works, it’s hard to step away from it.
So the first item I’m going to talk about is the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads and they are $30 for a 60 pads. I started using these pads before the other two exfoliators maybe 4ish years ago because I really wanted to have more of a glow to my complexion. These pads contain lactic and glycolic acids that help exfoliate, tone, and brighten. These pads are also safe for sensitive skin and if there is any irritation it’s recommended to go from every day use to every other day use. I used to use these pads every single day and now use them every other in-between using the Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength Daily Peel.
Next is the Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength Daily Peel and they come in three separate sizes ranging from $88-$150. I started using these a little over a year ago because I wanted something that would be a little more intense and for anti aging. These pads are a two step process, each step taking one minute. These are for all skin types and help fight against dullness and uneven texture, fine lines and wrinkles, acne and blemishes, and pores. During the summer I used these pads every single day, but during the winter is when I use them every other day alternating with the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads because my skin is a little more dry during the winter.
This last exfoliator is the ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment and I always buy the $85 2oz tube because a little goes a looooong way. This treatment is known as ” The Hollywood 2 minute facial” and is formulated with face scrubbing natural exfoliants to deep clean clogged pores without over-drying the skin. It contains lactic acid and fruit enzymes (papaya, pineapple, pumpkin) to reveal smooth skin thats brighter and healthier looking. I didn’t start using this product until I started doing my Sunday Skincare Routine and wanted something a little more intense than what I normally use. I actually use the ExfoliKate in the shower because the steam will help to activate the enzymes, making it even more effective.
It’s really hard to narrow it down which is my favorite because they all are so incredibly amazing in their own way. If I had to pick one that everyone needed in their beauty routine I would pin the ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment. Everyone that I have talked to that has used it has had instant results and it’s what is really helping through all my unwelcome breakouts.
